5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, 5 Aug 2003

I love the Tomorrow People! I was so pleased and surprised when I received this DVD because it came with a free audio play called "The New Gods". I enjoyed this story very much. We had a chance to meet a new Tomorrow person, Tyso, the gypsy, and we got a chance to see Mr. Lucas from "Are You Being Served" play a very evil character. A great trip down memory lane!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love The Tomorrow People!, 3 Jul 2003
By Ms. Judith A. Furnari (Oswego, NY United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I never imagined that I would ever see the Tomorrow People again! I am from Oswego, New York, USA. (That is not near New York City at all.Oswego is on Lake Ontario across from Kingston in Canada.) We have pretty nasty weather here so TV really helped us get through the winters growing up. I used to watch the Tomorrow People on Nickelodeon in the early 1980's. I had never seen anything like it! I mainly recall the later episodes. Most people in my area did not get this channel in the early 1980's so I have hardly met anyone who has even heard of the Tomorrow People. I simply know that most American TV shows at that time did not treat young people as intelligent beings at all. To this day I don't think there is any show that is as imaginative and as thoughtful as the Tomorrow People for young people. As in the early 1980's the shows with the green slime win out!
I love the Secret Weapon episodes because:
1) We get to see Mr. Lucas from "Are You Being Served" as an evil person.
2) We get to see Chris ( a mere SAP rescue the ever so smug John)
3) We get to see Elizabeth jaunt into Russia on a spy mission (I miss the old days of Russian spy secrets. That's why I took Russian in College).
4) Peter Vaughn-Clark is adorable.
5) Tyso has the most foolish voice that I have ever heard.
6) Tyso's parents remind mind me of all the crazy people in Oswego County who live in trailers and have 100 dogs.
7) I really like John's nifty car.
8) I think it would be fun to steal the Prime Minister of Britian for a day like Chris and John did. It would be more fun than stealing President George W. Bush.
I did find this episode a bit creepy because:
1) Tyso looks creepy.
2) The Strange drug induced comas were disturbing.
3) I think Elizabeth is annoying because she's always right.

I think as these DVD's come out the packaging is getting sharper.
I can't wait for more bacause we'll never see these shows on American TV again! If I ever do I'll faint.
