Biography

2D: “Uhmmm….The first Gorillaz album, our debut record, was more Russel’s…like… lots of hip-hop, funk and Cuban dub stars. Demon Days right, came more from Noodle and her dark doomy demos that she made, and all of her contemplations on the world ‘in a place of night’. Plastic Beach came out mainly from Murdoc’s head, all of his mucky exploits and global collaborations and legendary mash-ups… Read more in Amazon's Gorillaz Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly the best Gorillaz release, 8 July 2002
This review is from: Tomorrow Comes Today (Audio CD)
The first track is Tomorrow Comes Today. Good, but kinda slow. The second is Rock The House. Great, simple rap and nice melody which you wish you could play on a trumpet. Latin Simone isn't the one off the album, it is the same music but English vocals, Damon/ 2-D really does this one justice. Much better than that spanish one. Finally 12D3 is a nice little campfire song which you could just imageine the Gorillaz sitting in a circle playing. The TCT video is cool. It is real streets of London but the Gorillaz drawn on top. Very classy. You can also read a bio of the band and hear a guitar loop for the album song, 5/4. an essencial purchace, and the best mux of tracks on a Gorillaz single.

Track 1: A hip-hop track that seems to be a track based on the frontman 2D It has backround vocals with the playing of Del Tha Funkee Homosapien (Russel) Miho Hatori (Noodle) Chris(Murdoc) Damon Albarn (2D) With the beats of drums from Del Tha, The beats of guitars from Miho Chris and others, And Damon singing as 2D
Track 2: The singher in this is Del Tha Funky Homosapien doing the rap sound with morew than 12 musicians playing With the vocals in the backround going Rock the house 20/20 I give
Track 3: A translate of the album version with Damon singing instead
Track 4: 2D Singing for a girl with the bango noises and flutes for it
Track 5: A video of Track one with real backrounds with cartoons in it

The title track is just amazing, Damon does great work with the vocals, and the other tracks are also fresh and cool. Dan the Automator is an excellent( spelling) producer on this EP, and I can't till the album arrives!!
