A good film starring the team of the late Chris Farley and sarcastic comedian David Spade. The chemistry between the two former saturday Night Live comics help the film get through dry patches and even though its unintelligent humour that requires very little brain power. Its good fun and much more highly recommended than the less successful Black Sheep

5.0 out of 5 stars Chris Farley in his prime 19 Feb 2003
Format:DVD
Tommy Boy is a hilarious comedy that in my opinion is Chris Farley and David Spades best work together, Farley plays Tommy a bafoon of a lad who loves the party life and has never paid much attention in class. His father (Brian Denehy) owns a brake pad factory, and after his untimely death Tommy must hit the road on a tough sales drive (tough only because he’s involved), with the assistance of his fathers uptight and extremely sarcastic bean counter (Spade). Their aim to keep the company from going under and being brought out by Dan Akroyds character. The sales scenes are some of the funniest skits ever and will have you in tears of laughter, along with the other situations these two get themselves into. Rob Lowe features as Tommy’s sleazy step-brother who somehow manages to play straight throughout without ever seeming out of place in such an insane comedy. If you are in the need of a tear jerking laugh this is definitely for you, and believe me you will be watching this many more times than you think, I myself have seen it at least a dozen times and it still has me in fits of laughter.

5.0 out of 5 stars chris farley at his best 17 May 2013
Format:DVD
this has to be chris farleys best film and its a shame he is no longer with us.he reminds me a bit of a young john candy and i have no doubts he would of gone on to make many films.this film has everything you want in a good comedy, loads of laughs and one liners not to mention a great cast of bo derek, rob lowe, dan ackroyd, but its the partnership of him and his best friend at the time of his death david spade which shines from start to finish.i dont think this is as funny as there other film black sheep but its a very close second.overall a really funny film.ps watch out for the deer scene its hilarious

5.0 out of 5 stars Farley Rules dumb comedies 23 April 2011
By ekb
Format:DVD
If Adam Sandler is the King of Dumbass comedies then Chris Farley is the God of Dumbass comedies. Farley plays an inept frat boy who must save his fathers autoshop business with the help of sidekick David Spade. If you liked the Waterboy or Happy Gilmore then this is the film for you. Its not big, its not clever but man is it funny.

4.0 out of 5 stars this film is the BANG BANG! 1 Mar 2011
Format:DVD
quite easily farley's finest performace by a country mile. this has it all a decent story, good actors, and great music but more importantly it's funny as hell! this was a blind buy for me and i didn't think it would be up to much. TOMMY BOY has pride of place in my dvd collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Slapstick comedy genius 1 Mar 2011
Format:DVD
This is a classic Farley and Spade vehicle, with the two leads thrown together on a cross country road trip to save his dad's business from con man and woman team Rob Lowe and Bo Derek. Farley and Spade play off each other brilliantly, with Farley's loud, in your face style of comedy, perfectly balanced against Spade's more dead pan style. This is brilliant stuff that makes me laugh everytime I see it, i heartily recommend it.

A funny movie starring the old tandem of Chris Farley and David Spade. A fun movie. Not the funniest, but a classic comedy all the same.
