I bought this for my 5 month old daughter during the hot weather. I held it for her for during the handful of times that she drank from it. 3 weeks on she had a horrible virus that made her very sick. She was losing lots of fluid and not at all interested in breast or bottle. She knew immediately what to do with this though and sipped from it. Within a few hours she was looking much better and was holding and guiding the cup on her own. It is a really simple and good design to give young children a little independence. The spout will drip if its waved around, but its only water and babies make mess! I understand that it is better developmentally than using a cup with a valve. Excellent value for money.

I really like these cups. I now have 3 of them, and have ditched my other sippy cups. But they are not 100% perfect.
PROS
1. The teat folds down, so it is much easier than dealing with a cup & lid.
2. It is also very easy to clean.
3. It does not have a valve, so it encourages sipping rather than sucking (dentists prefer this)
CONS
1. The flow is quite fast, so my son was 10 months (not 4 months) when got the hang of it at 10 months.
2. Some batches seem to have tighter lids (2 of my cups are fine, the other I really struggle to get the lid off!)
3. It is pretty much impossible for the baby to get the last 15mls out, therefore there's wastage unless you remove the lid.

No valve so baby learns to drink - not suck through a valve.
Nice tight fitting lid so you dont get a water bomb when baby chucks it on the floor :)
( Have occasionally seen them in ASDA for a quid though!)

positives and negatives
These are durable but they are impossible to open and close. I always end up spilling whatever is in them, and its very annoying
