I really like these cups. I now have 3 of them, and have ditched my other sippy cups. But they are not 100% perfect.

    PROS
    1. The teat folds down, so it is much easier than dealing with a cup & lid.
    2. It is also very easy to clean.
    3. It does not have a valve, so it encourages sipping rather than sucking (dentists prefer this)

    CONS
    1. The flow is quite fast, so my son was 10 months (not 4 months) when got the hang of it at 10 months.
    2. Some batches seem to have tighter lids (2 of my cups are fine, the other I really struggle to get the lid off!)
    3. It is pretty much impossible for the baby to get the last 15mls out, therefore there's wastage unless you remove the lid.

    *UPDATE*
    - I am now using these cups for 2nd child. He is 8.5 months old and lifts the cup to his mouth to drink by himself. He finds it much easier than his older brother did, but he still would not have mananged it at 4 months. He still spills a bit of water, but not too bad.
    - A good tip for getting the lid off the cup is to make sure the spout is up (otherwise it is really hard to pull it off).

Note: If you're paying over GBP 2, you're paying too much. Go to your local Tesco, John Lewis, etc to find this for less.

This was the first real sippy cup that our baby liked using. It's cheap, transparent to see how much is left and only has 2 parts. It was so useful that we got a few for use at home and on the go.

    So why the 2 stars?

Keeping it clean was impossible for us - one day I noticed black mold/slime in the crevices under the spout and upon taking a closer look, found it inside the spout as well. I tried a lot of different ways of removing/cleaning the spout but even the Dr Brown's cleaning brush couldn't get in. We bought another one and the same thing happened within 2 months, so we've thrown away the lids and kept the cups. Maybe it's because we put milk in it and live in a humid location, but I recommend all of you check the inside of the spout under good lighting!

Tight lid - When the spout is folded down, it creates a vacuum inside. Great for stopping leaks, but also makes it extremely difficult to get the lid off. Flip the spout up when putting on or taking off the lid.

I bought this for my 5 month old daughter during the hot weather. I held it for her for during the handful of times that she drank from it. 3 weeks on she had a horrible virus that made her very sick. She was losing lots of fluid and not at all interested in breast or bottle. She knew immediately what to do with this though and sipped from it. Within a few hours she was looking much better and was holding and guiding the cup on her own. It is a really simple and good design to give young children a little independence. The spout will drip if its waved around, but its only water and babies make mess! I understand that it is better developmentally than using a cup with a valve. Excellent value for money.

The cup is actually quite good. My 6 month old took to it straight away, it was his first sippy cup. However I was annoyed to find out that Boots were selling the same cup for £1.49! Full price, not on sale. Normally products on Amazon are cheaper than retail. So, cup is great and will use again. Price, awful

so it doesn't look beautiful, but it works really well - stops baby from showering floor with water, but has a free flowing spout so is easy enough for her to drink from, and at 10 months she happily uses it herself when she wants a drink as the handles are a good size for little hands.

This is definitely the best sippy cup for the baby's first tries. The flow is not too fast, and not too slow; the handle is easy for them to grab and the size is just right! Our little one loves it, drinks water in it all day, and I know it's a favorite at his nursery too.

I like this cup. It is easy for my toddler to hold, and if abandoned or thrown on the floor it doesn't let too much water out! The trick to opening and closing the snug lid is to leave the little mouthpiece bit OPEN so that the air has somewhere to go! If you leave it folded down it is very difficult!

I purchased a few of these cups for my little boy when he started weaning as I had seen other mums use them.

They are of great quality and does the job perfectly. The sip part of the cup is small enough not to gag my little ones throat, the sip part can also be folded down and the cup can then be taken out and about and the flow if the cup is just right.

Unfotunately it does have it's flaws. The lid is very hard to get off without getting yourself wet. It is a very very tight fit. It is also hard to push onto the cup and on two occassions, I have accidently not pressed the lid on hard enough and the water has leaked all over my nappy bag. Not good.

I only use these at home now and have used the Kids on the go cups for when we are out and about as these have the screw top which prevents potential leakage.

Such a shame as this would have been five stars if the lid was the screw on type and not the push down type.
