I am essentially very lazy. I wanted a cup we could just give our little girl when she was going about her business so she could help herself to a drink whenever she wanted. The problem is all of the other cups I tried had design flaws which led either to a thirsty baby or wet carpet. They had poor non-spill designs (for example cups that if you turn upside down and put pressure on the teat will gush, who would imagine a baby would turn their cup upside down?), cups with lids or snaps that the baby can't open on their own and would spill if left open. Fancy fold away straws that are a nightmare to clean and the baby can't use without help. Teats that were at one side so the cup so the baby couldn't drink if they grabbed the cup from the wrong side.
No cup's perfect but this is close. The worst I've ever had is an occasional drip. It's easy to clean. It says 24 months upwards because it's got about a ½ pint capacity and no side handles so really little ones may struggle to manoeuvre it but our girls been fine with it since about 10 months and she's tiny so I'd expect most others would manage. They really should do a similar top for a smaller cup with handles. Teats right in the middle of the lid too.
