I purchased these bottles as I saw they had a Mother and Baby Gold award. I just wish I had read these reviews first. They really are terrible. The valve on the end constantly falls off causing the bottles to leak, when this happens the only option is to make a fresh bottle, when you've got a cryinbg baby this is the last thing you need.
I've emailed Tommy Tippee and they've replied saying no one has ever reported this problem to them before, I find this really hard to believe as it happens so frequently.
I'm going to have to purchase new bottles which is an expense I hadn't expected.

I found these bottles great for my baby. I started using them before my baby was 1 month old. He was sufferring from terrible wind problems and these bottles helped to reduce the problem. Mind you, not eliminate it.
I take ages to assemble them. It is made of 5 parts not counting the transparent cap on top. I read reviews that complained that the valve falls off. I found that this only happens when the water is too hot which causes the plastic to expand a little. The bottles leak when the white plastic that you stick on the top comes off (again this could be caused when the plastic is hot and loosens the parts or even with wear and tear).
After many uses my bottles started having their ml marks flaking away which is annoying and could even end up in the milk itself.
Another drawback is that these bottles do not come with milk storage lids to enable mixing of formula but you have to buy them separately.
If my baby did not have need of them I would prefer to buy simpler bottles but they do help when baby has wind problems.

I bought these before my son was born (1st baby), thinking this looked like the best thing since sliced bread. I do agree that it does what it says but I find the cleaning of all the parts a bit of a hassle and have switched to the regular Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles with the anti-colic valve. They work just as well and are easier to clean.
Also I don't think the temperature measuring works 100% -more often than not it will tell you milk is too hot when in fact it is just the right temperature. I had to always test on my wrist anyway to be sure.
The tops are a littly fiddly to put on (you need to make sure all the bits are securely in place), but I never had any leaks.
The design I have has the measurements clearly printed in black on the side so I guess Tommee Tippee have fixed the problem mentioned in earlier reviews here.
Bottom line: I would recommend the basic Closer To Nature bottles instead of these.
