Amazon.co.uk Review
Lara Croft returns in the fourth instalment of the popular Tomb Raider series. The newest effort brings the Internet-pinup back to the Egyptian tombs she roamed in the series opener (the now-classic Tomb Raider). Our heroine must seek out Horus, an Egyptian god that has the ability to capture the evil soul Set. With a combination of puzzle solving and sharp gaming skills, Lara will navigate through numerous Egyptian locations, including Cairo, Karnak, Giza, Valley of the Kings, and Alexandria.

This game promises to unveil vital background information on Lara Croft, who has emerged as an Internet cult icon since the release of the original Tomb Raider in the mid-1990s. At one point in the game, you will flash back to Lara at age 16 to see the origins of her adventurous spirit.

While gameplay remains faithful to the preceding titles in the series, there are also several new gameplay elements to explore, including a new inventory system, new weapons, and new moves. --Brett Atwood, Amazon.com

Product Description
Set entirely in Egyptian locations, Last Revelation's plot revolves around ancient mythology and the alignment of the stars at the millennium. Finding herself in a serious predicament, Lara Croft has a clear objective from the outset: she must escape a terrifying destiny and rectify a situation that threatens to destroy humanity. The storyline is driven seamlessly through advanced engine technology. New programming routines allow gameplay to dissolve into cut-scenes and FMV. Also, loading screens are eliminated, allowing the adventure to become a continuous experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lara = Cool, 23 April 2003
I think TR4 is really good. The graphics are a lot better and it is a lot more advanced. It's a great game about a young woman (Lara Croft) who travels to Egypt in order to save the world from the Apocalypse and she has to face an evil god! It's so cool.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Great!!!, 9 Jul 2001
By A Customer
Not one of the best from the series. I bought this ...in a sale at Christmas - great bargain. The biggest problem of this game is that it is totally orientated around Egypt and so the golden brown textures and scenaries can be very boring after a while. Good gamplay and weapons and stuff but needs more variation of locations. TRII had Venice and China but all TR:TLR has is Egypt.

5.0 out of 5 stars atmosphere returns, 29 Jan 2001
By VX "VX" (North east england) - See all my reviews
For anyone looking for a game resembling the original tomb raider, this is the game you've been looking for. It has a fantastic atmosphere, loads of tombs to explore, more levels than ever before. The graphics are much improved.

The best TR of the lot. Easier than TR3 (But that's not really a hard thing to be...) Combined with the gameplay of the origanal, this has to be the best yet. Go Lara!
