Excellent port of a classic, finally back on the Mac,

I wont go into the details of the game, the PC reviews are sufficiently accurate in my opinion. The port to the Mac is exactly like the PC version. I own both versions, so any issue with the PC version regarding silly camera angles don't appear to be resolved in this but I've only played up to the third level (Lost Valley). I'll update the comment at a later date if this proves to inaccurate. The system requirements are huge. Even my new iMac struggles with all the settings on high at 1680x1050. Turning off "Depth of field" and reducing the Anti-Aliasing makes the game smooth to play. The screen on the iMac makes this game a pleasure to play, and it is probably better than on the PC with an ordinary TFT monitor. Well done to Feral Interactive for this port. Hopefully it will encourage other games to be ported to the Mac sooner.

Have just recently come back to Apple Mac and decided to get a few games to play. I played this to death on the PC so got it and am having a great time playing it all over again. Do yourself a great big favour and buy this game it IS a Classic!!!

Having played the original Tomb Raider over 10 years ago I can barely remember it, all I recall is that it was incredibly good fun and kept me entertained for hours.
This new version is no different. It's beautiful to look at and fun and exciting to play. It's also much longer than Tomb Raider Legend and will give you seemingly endless hours of gameplay. My only negative comment would be that while most of the game is very easy (maybe too easy) there are some parts that are next to impossible to complete, which can be really frustrating and detracts from the enjoyment of the game. No one likes to play the same bit again for the one hundreth time only to die again. But overall, this is a minor complaint. Whether you're new to Tomb Raider or not you will love this game. Buy it now!
