I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this bike. It was really important to me that the stationary bike feel comfortable to ride, sturdy, and as realistic as possible. This bike is all three. I am sure that there are cheaper alternatives, but you would be settling for less than the best, and that is simply not how I shop. I want to buy something with an outstanding warranty, metal parts, and will last me for the rest of my life. I feel like purchasing this stationary bike is simply the best decision I have made in a long time.
I hadn't ridden a bike in a few years, and I was worried about the seat on this bike because historically my bottom would be really sore after riding for a couple hours. I did a lot of research about how to make the seat more comfortable, so I purchased a gel saddle cover, as well as padded biking shorts. The first week was pretty rough, but I had read that the more you ride, the better the saddle feels, so I stuck with it. It took a lot of adjusting of the seat and bike to make sure I was sitting on my "sit bones" rather than the fleshy part of my girl parts, but once I got it all where it needed to be, I was riding for 45 minutes without feeling pain after about two weeks of riding. Now that my bottom is getting used to the seat, I've removed the gel pad and I'm only using the biking shorts as padding.
This bike is VERY adjustable. I highly recommend you google how to setup a stationary bike correctly for your body, because correct posture has a huge impact on comfort. Your weight should be balanced between the seat, pedals, and handle bars. Luckily, this bike is so easily adjustable that finding the sweet spot was not a problem for me even though I am 5'5. I am positive my 6'3 husband could ride this bike in perfect comfort as well.
It is very quiet. I did have to add a little grease to the pedals when I first got it because they were making a little noise, but once I did that, its whisper quiet. The tension adjustment is easy, the LCD screen is simple yet effective at tracking speed, time, and heart rate, and I honestly can't think of a single con or negative thing to say about this stationary bike. I am very happy with my purchase even though it was a significant dent to my wallet.
