I purchased this to replace a dead battery in my wife's dead TomTom One. Installation was tricky - when prizing the back off the TomTom it feels like you could be about to break the body, but it does come apart and there aren't any specific points to release the shell. I also found the existing battery was very securely glued onto the back shell - I removed the sticky stuff so that I could use it on the new battery. I charged it for 24 hours before doing any testing and was relieved to find that it seemed to be fully working.
Subsequently I have not seen my wife. So far I have had postcards from Swindon, Hunstanton, Ramsgate, Wick, Chipping Norton, Stanraer, Fishguard, Penzance, Stonoway, Aberystwyth, Hartlepool and a confused telephone call from Calais - we only have the UK maps.
I can't recommend the new battery highly enough.

Could of bought a cheaper version of this on Amazon , but thought id buy from these guys.
If you want an 800mah low capacity buy this.
If you want the 1200mah as described - move on to another advert because you wont get it here.

Faithful old TomTom works just fine but when the original battery is completely shot and TomTom shuts down the moment the power cord is removed then something had to be done.
This battery is the perfect fit for my TomTom One v2 the only problem is that TomTom never intended this to be an end user replacement part. You have to have the correct sized star driver to undo the 4 screws and then you really need strong finger nails or a prising tool to separate the TomTom case which comes in two. Once open the tough bit is removing the old battery which is held firmly in place by a double sided adhesive pad which is very strong, try not to crack the case if using a screwdriver (I used a curved prising tool) and be careful not to pierce the battery casing as there are some unpleasant chemicals inside.
Fixing the replacement in the case once old battery removed I used 2 layers of double-sided tape to hold it stuck to the back of the case.
As the instructions say give the battery a good 4 hour charge before using which is relatively easy to do as the power socket is the widely used mini USB and many phone chargers have this kind of power pack.
