I finally get to voice my opinion on this movie. Don't get me wrong, it's great. Even realistic. Yet there are some false....what should I call them...statements and scenes in the movie. I maybe 19, but I know a heck of a lot about jets. First of all, the only mistake I noticed was the naming of the Aircraft they were involved in dogfights with at the beginning and end of the movie. Sure, it's just a movie, but they wanted to be accurate, right? Anyway, they made a good move by deciding to call those jets MIG-28s because that's a fictional plane. Secondly, the problem is their actually American F-5s. Check the Airforce if ya want but I know my stuff. So if I was reviewing the movie I would give it 4 1/2 stars, not 5. It may seem completely senseless for me to say this, but movies should be as realistic as possible, and Top Gun was except for this. I think they should definitely make a sequel, and this time, have the right plane models with the right name.
