Book Description

3 Sep 2009

It's Peter Pan with attitude as Conn Iggulden, creator of the phenomenal bestseller The Dangerous Book for Boys, introduces an explosive and magical new fictional world.

"Tollins are not fairies. Though they both have wings, fairies are delicate creatures and much smaller.

Tollins are also a lot less fragile than fairies. In fact, the word 'fragile' can't really be used about them at all. They are about as fragile as a housebrick…"

In these three tales, Conn Iggulden introduces the explosive, magical and adventurous world of the Tollins, all beautifully illustrated in full colour by Lizzy Duncan. Complete with thrilling stories of danger and derring-do, glorious drawings, maps and diagrams, this is more than a fantastic fiction debut for children – it's also the definitive guide to these remarkable little flying creatures. Just don't ever call them fairies…

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Quality 10 Nov 2009
Format:Hardcover
This book is amazing
The story is really good fun, perfect for kids of all ages. If you buy this to read to your kids you will find yourself sneaking the book away after they are sleeping to read on your own! It is really good family fun.
The thing that struck me the most was the quality of the book itself, there are illustrations on every single page and the paper used is of the highest quality. I think the pages are even stitched in, not glued like normal, so you can tell that lots of effort has gone into the presentation.

All in all, this is one of the best looking and most enjoyable books I have picked up in ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Your Children Will Thank You For This Book 3 Sep 2009
Format:Hardcover
There seems to be no end to the talent of Conn Iggulden. From his historical fiction to the Dangerous Book For Boys success has followed success. This book promises to follow the trend and thoroughly deserves to.

The characters and storylines are inventive and clever, a joy to read. The whole book is warm and friendly with a liberal sprinkling of funny thrown into the mix. Parents will love reading this to thier children and children will want to read it to themselves.

From the cover through the beautifully illustrated pages the book crys quality on every page and would grace any bookshelf. In short this is the kind of book you will be happy to see your children reading and they will, over and over again.
