This book contains stories that are divided into three main sections extending from children themselves to relationships with other people and the outside world: Ourselves, Ourselves and others, and Ourselves and the world. Within these sections, stories are grouped in threes by theme, so that teachers can either select one story or choose a sequence on a single theme or two related themes, e.g. rights and responsibilities, tolerance and respect, caring for the environment and caring for animals. All stories are also cross-referenced in a thematic index. A reflection or prayer follows each story. As in previous books, Jeanne Jackson has drawn her stories from a wide range of sources, including fables, myths, legends, fantasy and folk tales, true stories specially written fiction, and stories from the major world religions. This is the follow-up to the successful "Round the Year".
