Product Description

Though Edgar and Johnny collaborated on many of each other's recordings, this album was their first joint effort. First released in 1976 on CBS, 'Together' features regular sidesmen Rick Derringer and the late Dan Hartman. Both albums have been digitally remastered and slipcased, and include extensive new notes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Rock-Flavored Blues by the Winter Brothers 28 Dec 2007
By R. Morris - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This review is for the vinyl LP, so the song selection may be slightly different (modern CD's often add a song or two). However, this is a brilliant, highly enjoyable blues/rock album recorded live with both Johnny and Edgar Winter. The tracks are mostly old blues/rock standards and with the Winters and their talented band at the helm, the tunes sizzle like bacon. If you like blues/rock, you will love this energetic live album.
Five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars MILESTONE ROCK AND ROLL RECORDING ON CD! 17 July 2008
By Silver Lightning - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This live recording by Johnny and Edgar Winter was recorded on a tour with both Johnny winter's band and the Edgar winter group, after doing their individual sets they would do a set with members of both bands on stage ( same tour as Johnny Winter Captured Live). This is a great recording with both performers at their peak with great musicians backing them like Rick Derringer,Dan Hartman and the late Randy Jo Hobbs on Bass (RIP). It also features the talents of Floyd Radford and Richard Hughes. This recording has both Winter Brothers diving into a treasure chest of their favorite oldies comming up with firey versions of Harlem Shuffle, Soul Man and a rock and roll medley of Slippin' and Slidin', Jailhouse Rock, Tutti Frutti, Sick and Tired, I'm Ready, Reelin' and Rockin',Blue Suede Shoes,Jenny Takes A Ride and last but not least Good Golly Miss Molly. This is a very energetic and exciting performance recorded at The Swing Auditorium, San Diego California by Wally Heider. A good recording not to be missed.....

3.0 out of 5 stars A rock and roll lesson 9 Feb 2008
By Charles G. Calderbank - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is qualit rock and roll and if you were to give an example of great live rock and roll to someone who has never never heard rock roll, this is it. The rock and roll medely is an on fire 6 minutes you won't soon forget. The only reason I give it 3 stars is that it clocks in short.
On a reissue you'd hope for some bonus cuts. Especail hear, if you dig live Geils etc this in the same vein, it just ends to soon.
