I first heard the single "Nobody's Wife" blaring out of someone's 2 floor apartment window whilst walking thru the streets of Amsterdam last year. After finding out who the artist was, I raced out to by the CD. I wasn't disappointed. Anouk is superb, this album is brilliant. A mixture of great songs including a couple of rock ballads, make this an all round superb piece of work. It is worth buying just to check it out. It is no wonder, I can't get tickets to see her in Holland, everyone there loves her. Definitely give it a go.

This album lives upto their debut album 'urban solitude'. The mixture of the voice of a saint and the guitar playing of a genius make this album one than everybody should have. It is for all tastes of music as it contains both heavy and soft songs, with many of the songs being written as ballads and played on an acoustic guitar. If you don't have this album then you want to go out and buy it as it adds something to everybodies cd collection.

Yes! Finally! 21 Jan 2001

Format:Audio CD
This album epitomises how beatiful rock can be when it's done right! Anouk's amazingly strong vocals could not differ more from the impression one gets while looking at a picture of her. Who could think that this blonde, fragile looking young woman from Holland could house such an amazingly powerful voice? From "Nobody's Wife" all the way through "Mood Indigo" Anouk explores the capacity of her voice, "Sacrifice" shows of her vocal capabilities to their max by minimising the volume of any instruments used. "Together Alone" is full of contrasts, the verses being slow and quiet while the chorus being loud and full of anger. All in all, this is a throughly excellent album and a worthy addition to any collection.
