I bought this kit for my 7 year-old son but as I opened the box the frame fell apart. The quality is very poor and I think they could do something that children could handle. We have fun making paper, but I have to hold the frame parts together for him while he makes the paper ready.

I did not believe the other reviewer and as theirs a 3-star review, I ordered this item. Both the frame and deckle fell apart as I opened the box - the manufacturer's have obviously used the wrong glue. The nylon mesh is poorly stapled to the frame - some of the staples are in the wrong place. The mesh looks like it has been ripped and not cut from a roll. One of the packages of glittery paper has a hole and they were pouring out into the box and all over my worktop as I opened it. You cannot possibly give this item as a gift it is so poorly made. I cannot believe this is a UK product - where are the standards? First job is to get the waterproof glue out. I cannot recommend this product as it is not fit for its purpose. You might as well make your own frame. As it is, this it is not an educational toy - it falls apart, although with the right tools paper making is both fun and educational.

I'm quite chuffed with this product, it creates really good paper and was very inexpensive.
My only gripe really is that one of the frames comes in pieces, I don't really understand the need for this and it just makes things quite fiddly, even for an adult!
But I would recommend buying if you're looking for a fun paper making kit that isn't very expensive.
