I read the other damning review , but the manufacturer can't really include the lemons and the empty bottles that you need to make your brew. They could have included sterilising tablets but we just ordered ours (milton) with our weekly shop. We have had 4 8pt brews from this kit so far - then split the live yeast plant and gave it to our friends who are now brewing ( with cheap ginger from Asian Supermarket ). If you have the patience to calmly read the instructions , they are very comprehensive . The end result is FANTASTIC, fizzy - dry ish spicy ginger beer . We can't get enough of it. We love this kit, and when I bought another for my dad I included a few of the fresh and bulky extras in a little basket for his Birthday.

This product is an excellent way to get into brewing your own Ginger Beer have been making my own for a year since buying this product. It gives you the basic information and you can progress your own recipe. I now use fresh Ginger and Birds Eye Chillies to spice up the end result. It contains everything you need to start your first brew except the lemon. Get yourself a demijohn and join in the party!!!

This product is a really good idea but it arrived in a slightly battered box which was rather annoying. Nevertheless, tons of ingredients to make a lot of ginger beer so it is an entertaining and interesting gift.

You get a bag of ginger powder and a packet of yeast.
Oh, and a big list of all the stuff you'll need to make some ginger beer.
