Myriorama is a picture whose parts can be arranged in an almost infinite number of combinations to portray different scenes.
Ours is based on one originating in Leipzig in the 1830s.
There are twenty-four sturdy cards, each showing part of a panoramic view.
In whichever order they are placed, the result is a harmonious and continuous landscape.

Tobar have re-created the Endless Landscape, a popular curio during the Victorian era. This panoramic, restful rural seaside scene is a close depiction of an original myriorama which originated in Leipzig in the 19th century.The landscape comprises 24 cards. These 24 cards can be laid horizontally in random fashion - each time producing an organised and pleasing image.

This very simple idea is very clever.
Lay the cards in any order, and get a completed picture.
Originally bought a couple of sets of these for my dad who has Alzheimer's. These packs keep him occupied for long periods, where he would have quickly lost interest or got frustrated by a traditional puzzle. Useful to keep in a pocket to take wherever he goes. They have been a godsend on numerous occasions.
With younger children who are used to puzzles having one correct solution, they are absorbing because the multiple matches seem magical, and need to be explored. Also good for developing language/story=telling skills by talking through a scene as it unfolds card by card.
Then for myself, I like designing different pictures by deciding which order to place the cards & how many to complete a scene. If you don't have an immediate need of them, save them for stocking fillers.
