3.0 out of 5 stars decent but not their best 25 July 2013
By Graeme
Format:MP3 Download|Verified Purchase
Orden ogan play power metal but with a take on it that is far more original than many of their peers. At least they did on their previous album easton hope. This album sounds a lot closer to contemporary power metal with a lot more of the standard power metal drumming.
It's still good, better than a lot of their contemporaries but rarely troubling the classics of the genre. If you are new to ordan then I recommend starting with the previous album Easton hope.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome heavy power metal 8 Jan 2013

Great album! Awesome guitar harmonies, vocal bombast, and machine gun drums. This band has an amazing sense of melody and rhythm. I hear a lot of Blind Guardian in the vocals, but that is fine because the singer handles the role beautifully. For a power metal album, this stuff can be quite heavy in spots, and varied. I don't feel myself getting bored like I can so easily with other "power metal" albums, because the varied rhythms, and awesome dual harmonies. If you liked their last album Easton Hope, then you will love this album. In fact this one is better in every way IMO. Buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Big Power Metal 8 Jan 2013
By Krby - Published on Amazon.com

I was introduced to Orden Ogan by "The Things We Believe In" and I was immediately hooked. I love the BIG sound that you feel as much as hear. I had to own the album. After getting it, I have listened to it nearly non-stop since. Each of the songs show depth and range. The vocals and harmonies are pleasing to me. Orden Ogan seem very talented musically as well composed and tight. There isn't a song on here that seems out of place. If you like Power Metal, this is one to own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Power Metal 7 Mar 2013
By theReaver - Published on Amazon.com

It's been a long time since I've metal of this flavor has tasted so good to me. I'd moved to a lot more progressive rock listening now due to fatigue and boredom I'd experienced from the genre, but this band is bringing me back, bringing me back..! It's the first album I've picked up from them and I've spun the disc about 10-15 times already, and I never skip a song. Does that say something? I think so.

I find it draws similar feelings that my original listenings of Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Hammerfall, Iron Savior brought. Band comparisons pigeon-hole, so I don't like 'em. But it's a lazy way to approximate the sound for people for point of reference. Ordan Ogan is not those bands. If you like those bands, at least listen to the samples. Then buy the disc. The band has a fun name too that sometimes trips up the tongue, and that's worth something too, right? Organ Odin. Orgus Modolollidoo. Ooorca Oragami. Yup. I'm done now.

5.0 out of 5 stars wicked WICKED power metal 15 Jan 2013

Heard this band on rockradio.com's Power Metal channel today and I was just completely blown away. After just one song I had to have this album. Fantastic harmonic vocals, guitar riffs, and enough heavy double bass drumming to give you an eargasm. Definitely buy this album!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT work 8 Jan 2013
By Doctor Jest - Published on Amazon.com

The vocal harmonies, the riffing, the great tight playing, and the overall production is a welcome change to the grungy, under-produced, over-loud, bass-heavy music pervasive today. Give it a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
