Third part of GOTY trilogy about young ballerina adventures for girls and those that feel like ones 5 Jan. 2014
By Helpful Advice - Published on
Format: Paperback
“Girl of the Year 2014 Book 3” by Laurence Yep is the final book in the GOTY trilogy, one part of massive and diversified project called “The American Girl” that covers many various merchandise such as dolls, accessories, magazines, books and others.
This third book where the story of young dancer Isabelle is concluded (at least for now) together with the previously two published works in series are books that were made for girl audience of different ages, from younger ones that just started the school to those that are already teenagers, but all of them will certainly enjoy the exciting adventures of the young ballerina.

In first part of trilogy “GOTY 2014 Book 1” reader was introduced to main character that started to attend Anna Hart School of the Arts together with her older sister Jade, who is already skillful and successful ballerina.
In next installment Isabelle practiced for the demanding ballet role, had problems with bossy colleague that instead of collegial relationship constantly refer to Isabelle’s errors and tried to help her sister that has ended up in a bad mood.
In third book Isabelle will be invited by Jackie, her dancing role model, to go together on tour, the only problem being that Renata, naughty colleague, was also called. Due to various problems Isabelle will be in a position to help Jackie her show to survive, and except that in this process she’ll learn a lot about herself and her talents, she’ll also find out who is the mysterious character that inspired Jackie to become a top dancer…

“GOTY 2014 Book 3” is equally easy and interesting to read as both of its prequels; all three books are written on around 130 pages and they’re packed with many exciting adventures of young dancer Isabelle and other young dancers including her sister Jade that attend prestigious School of the Arts.

As I wrote for both previous installments, I don’t consider myself typical reader of such type of books, but this trilogy I bought a gift for two sister girls of 11 and 12 years that are both good dancers just like Isabelle and Jade, and I was curious to read them.

I was pleasantly surprised that their quality was higher than expected so I’m certain that young girls and those that feel like ones will enjoy all three titles. Therefore if you're the target audience that these book addresses feel free to lift my score for a star and enjoy exciting adventures of the young ballerina on her way to success and fame.

Although it was short the book was actually really good for being in a trilogy as well as being an American girl novel.

If you like or love dance then this is for you! It has a heartwarming story about Isabelle! She goes and bes a great sport with Renata being rude and Jade not wanting to be in the benefits from Jackie and them getting in a fight! But in the end she finds a way no one is fighting and life is good for Isabelle and her family, friends, and her! Plus she and Renata are friends now! The story is going to be a big hit and if it is not I will be super surprised! I recommend to anyone who loves dance!
Great Lesson in Series for Young Girls 6 Feb. 2014

Isabelle goes to a special Dance school. She loves to make her own costumes but soon develops self doubt but finds a way to over come this. I also enjoyed the little real life stories in the back of the book. My friend's daughter really wanted Isabelle for her birthday, so I got her started on these books and she's enjoying them as well...working her way up to earning the doll.
