I don't read a lot of non-fiction, but this was recommended to me by a friend. It's not just a book about Barack Obama, it tells the entire story of the recent US Presidential election, and I found it particularly interesting to be reminded of all the different canditates who started off in the race at the beginning, and then to follow all the twists and turns of what was a very dramatic time. It's easy to think now that Obama's win was almost destined, but this book reminds us that things could so easily have turned out very differently.
What most surprised me about this book was how easy it was to read. The author has a breezy, informal style, without being too 'casual', and really breathes life into the story he is telling. Fellow fans of The West Wing would particularly enjoy this book.
