A fantastic collection from the now sadly defunct 80's band - Wang Chung ('Dance Hall Days')

A good soundtrack is beneficial to any movie, but here Wang Chung really excelled themselves with an awesome and perfectly appropriate set of tracks to accompany William ('The Exorcist') Friedkin's powerful crime drama 'To Live and Die in L.A.'

Highpoints: 'To Live and Die in L.A.', 'Wait' and 'Wake Up, Stop Dreaming'.

Wake Up! - Stop Dreaming! - buy this CD! Cool 80's stuff awaits you...

I first watched the film 'by fluke' in about 1990. Myself & a few pals were staying with a friend in Bognor & had been on an all day bender. When we got in (after eating a kebab) they all crashed out...........but I wasn't tired. So I decided to watch a video & the only one he had was 'To Live & Die in L.A'.
I'd never heard of it before, but decided to watch it anyway....
The opening credits start with a tour of L.A to the strains of this albums title track..........& I was hooked.
The film was fantastic & is really worth a watch & the soundtrack matches it - a nice touch to have the same band compose the entire soundtrack ('Waiting' is a beautiful slice of eighties pop). Listen to the album & it reminds you of the film & visa versa - if you remember the eighties then buy both!

When watching the film for the first time in the 80's the soundtrack was one of the high-lights. I have now upgraded the vinyl to CD and it just as good today as its was 15 years or so ago.

One of those CDs that everyone should own.
