My name is Dani Amore, and welcome to my author page!

I'm a novelist living in Los Angeles. I currently have seven novels for sale on Amazon. 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book 8 Feb 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Really enjoyable book. You're sucked in from the start and its the kind of book you just want to keep reading to see what happens. I never really knew the extent of World War 2 for the Italians generally I always read books about the Jews, Poland, or Germany and this is a very good account of one little village in Italy and how the germanys utterly turned their lives upside down its about the survival of the fittest and how to cope in times of hardship. I would def recommend this book and its cheap too. Not a very long book but gets straight to the point bravo to the author :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Italian village life in WWII 9 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Excellent observation of German occupation of an Italian village near Monte Cassino seen through the eyes of an Italian girl. Both sides of the Germans are shown together with the simplistic lives of the villagers, a touch of romance but more the enduring hope of the people to survive. Gentle but savage at times I would recommend this book - 5 stars if it had been longer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well written 14 July 2014

The story is nothing new and with stereotypical characters but the quality of writing is high. Overall I enjoyed the book even though the ending was apparent half way through. Just about justifies 4 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read 23 Mar 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My father was fighting at Monte Casino on the British side so I know how hard it was for them.
This story is told from the Italian side who by then, had German troops trying to stop the British advance, trying to get through the pass through the mountains at Monte Casino, with devastating losses on both sides. The Italians went through a bad time as they were treated extremely badly by the Germans as the Italian army had all but capitulated.
This story told through the eyes of an Italian girl and the effect it had on her father, her mother had died, the rest of the family and village.
It is an excellent read.

Very good read, brings to life the terror of war, yet gives the soft side of how families try to keep to as much normality of their family lives as they can. Would recommend reading for sure!

Really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. Interesting to learn how the Italian people were so affected by the 2nd World War and had to endure such deprivation and hardship even to the extent of risking their lives. Would recommend this book
