Format:Mass Market Paperback
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, so much so that I have bought the other books in the Bodyguard series. It is a book filled with lots of action and is fast paced throughout. The characters Nolan and Gillian are both strong characters and wonderful to see how they interact.
Gillian is a newsreader, whose father also happens to be a millionaire, so has grown up with bodyguards and has always resented this evasion on her life growing up. Now she has received death threats, which she is trying her best to brush aside, but her father hires her a bodyguard, Nolan, to protect her. As you can imagine, she is dead set against having a bodyguard, and Nolan who has recently left the army doesn't want to be there anymore than she wants him there. So they get off to a really rocky start. As the death threats continue to come in, Gillian's safe world is shattered, she goes from not wanting her bodyguard to wanting him to stay very much.
A thoroughly entertaining book, and one which will leave you wanting to read the next book in the series (about Nolan's twin sister Eve).

This, I believe, is the first in a series of stories about the Garrett family and their security firm E.D.E.N Inc.
Jillian Kincaid is a reporter and co-anchor, whose father is a millionaire, and has been raised surrounded by bodyguards. She escaped that life to become a journalist and wants to live a 'normal' life. But when she starts getting death threats, her father wants her to come home and when she refuses he hires a bodyguard to keep her safe. The bodyguard he hires is Nolan Garrett - an ex Ranger and a man who really doesn't want the job.
With a start like this, I knew I was going to enjoy the book. Nolan's preconception about Jillian as a high maintenance, pampered princess is soon shattered and, although Jillian doesn't want him around, Nolan slowly begins to grow on her. As the threats intensify, she realises that she needs him more than she thought she did - and not just for his bodyguarding skills.
There is a lot of tension written into the story and not all of it relates to the threats on Jillian's life!! I will definitely be reading the next book - featuring Eve, Nolan's twin sister.
