Product Description

Product Description

If your dream is to be an airline pilot, or you would like to know what it takes, this book reflects the experiences, thoughts and findings of a trainee pilot throughout the journey that took him into the right-hand seat of a jet airliner. The book covers everything that you need to consider before and during the training process, including where to train and how to raise funds. The flying course structure and ground school subjects are detailed, and many sample exam questions are included to give a flavour of what lies ahead. The book also looks behind the scenes, at life on a training campus, and considers all important practicalities before going on to look at how to find that dream job.

About the Author

Andrew Cook has just come to the end of his airline pilot training, and has compiled this book throughout the course. He now has a job as a pilot for British Airways flying Boeing 737s. Resident - West Sussex

A brilliant book and a must for anyone wanting to be a pilot! I have spent so much time trying to find out about how to become a commercial pilot and have received so many conflicting views that I was totally confused! I thought I would try this book and think it is excellent. It's laid out very well, is easy to read and has given me a good idea of where to train, how I can raise the finance to do it, what to expect, what I will be expected to learn and some very useful tips on getting a job at the end of it all.

Thank you Andrew, your words have helped me no end and I hope I can follow in your footsteps as becoming a commercial pilot is my dream too.

I was told by an airline pilot to consider reading this guide. Its very very helpful, it has all the details and all the 100's of questions answered before considering a flight training and what we need to be aware of.. It also has a great inside guide on how it is while you train and what happens after all of those many years to get an ATPL to actually start the real work. I enjoyed reading it and in a position where I have manage to make a clear plan. Thank you.
