3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet but perhaps too simple, 12 Dec 2001
By A Customer
Max and his cousin Marie go shopping for Aunt Lisa's party. They can take the bus to various places (park, market, post office)and have fun in the town while collecting the things on the shopping list. Each scene is interactive: things speak, move or play music when the child clicks on them. Birds sing, parcels dance, it's all very sweet. Max & Marie go shopping is nicely drawn and can be played in English, French or German (excellent for introduction to languages).
My four year old daughter enjoyed it very much, but, and this is quite a big but, completed it very quickly. Although she has played with it a couple of times since, I feel that there is not enough detail or difficulty to hold a child's attention for very long. We both would have been happier if there were was more action and more hidden clues. I think that this would be very good for 2-4 year olds but is really not complex enough for older children.
