About the Artist

The indestructible members of the Golden Earring have been at the top of the Dutch Pop scene for the past 50 years and to prove it, they're releasing their 31st(!) studio album, their first in almost nine years. This oldest and most long-lived Rock band in Holland hasn't lost any of its energy (or libido, for that matter) as George Kooymans, Barry Hay, Rinus Gerritsen and Cesar Zuiderwijk prove with flying colors on 'Tits 'n Ass'. Over the past few decades Golden Earring has passed many a mile stone. Only last year they were celebrated with their own stamps, a museum exhibition and Music On Vinyl brought tribute to the band with the 'From Heaven, From Hell' limited 10 inch 2LP release, that actually managed to enter the Dutch charts. Not a small feat for vinyl in this day and age! Golden Earring decided not to rest on their laurels, but dove back into the studio to record an all-new album: 'Tits 'n Ass'. Their first single 'Still Got The Keys To My First Cadillac' proves that they still got it. Released on the same day as the CD-version. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

"Tits n' ass" is Golden Earring 's first album of new material since 2003 "Millbrook USA" and their 25th studio album. Almost a decade has gone by and the spirit is still there: straight hard rock 'n' roll with the usual GE touch. Groovy, sleazy, moving, fearless...
After about 5 decades of music, GE doesn't have much to prove anymore, but one thing is for sure, and that is that they know how to produce great music with high standards on all levels.
Don't expect anything groundbreaking, but if you enjoyed "Millbrook", "Paradise in distress", or even if you haven't heard the band since "Moontan" or "Cut", this is a very enjoyable album.

This CD was one of those rare things,It really grips you from the first listen, The first track i heard was the first single to be taken of this album-"Still got the keys to my first Cadillac"- Possibly one of the more commercial songs on here, I suppose that's why that song was chosen as a single. However i think there are stronger songs on here ie;"Over the cliffs into the deep deep blue" & "Avenue of broken dreams",Strangely enough my favourite song is the ballad sung by George Kooymans "Wanted by women"- What a tearjerker. If you only know Golden Earring by "Radar Love" some of their later offerings are well worth investigation especially Millbrook USA & Paradise in distress, Paradise contains possibly my favorite Earring track-"The fighter"Go get this CD.

Brilliant album shades from other albums, by GE, but when you have a good formula you keep it. My favourite Rock track has to be 'Avenue of Broken Dreams' but for rock ballards it was fantastic to hear George Kooymans unmistakable style with 'This loves a killer', and his deep meaning 'Used to Be wanted by Women' as the finale track.. a fairly sad song, sung wonderfully. I will look forward to the live version, when it arrives. As they always turn on a fantastic performance with extended versions.
If You love good quality instrument playing earthy rock..This is a must.
I rate this album up with, 'Bloody Buccaneers' and 'Face it'.Tits 'n Ass -Digi-

A Great pleasure to hear a new GE studio album. Additional guitar from Frank Carillo makes a big impact, reminiscent of Elco Geeling during the 70's. But what is good is 14 great new songs and the musicianship including the vocals from Bary and George.

As ever the more I listen to it, the better it sounds. Just a pity that we are unlikely to hear them in the UK.
