Whether you've got a spare five minutes and you fancy learning a bit of London history, or you've been so busy all week that you've got nothing organised and just want to get out and try something new then this book has what you need.
It's well written, the designs complement it perfectly and there's a lot to learn that you won't see in a regular guidebook. Well done to the author for what must have been quite an arduous exploration of the city, check out the back stories on the books website for quite how much effort has gone into this book!
Really well presented, user friendly and fun to read.
Recommended for anyone of any age living in London or just visiting.
Tired of London, Tired of Life has rather more mainstream suggestions than many of them, which makes it a great as an introductory guide for people have not yet thoroughly explored London but not so good for people who have already spent some time ferreting out from books or the internet interesting places to visit. There is a strong showing for places where you can eat, drink and shop, with plenty of sites of historic interest sprinkled throughout.
The good quality production and generous use of white space and graphics makes the book very convenient and enjoyable to leaf through. My only small gripe is that each item is allocated to a specific date and not all the dates make that much sense, such as putting going on a tour guide walk around London down for late December rather than the summer months.
