I got this for business use - we get food orders from chefs left overnight for delivery next day.
Sometimes the messages were unintelligible and we could not supply the goods (the vans go out before the chefs are back at work).
I was looking for good sound quality and the ability to easily replay bits over and over to make a best guess at what was being ordered.
The sound in this is good, better than our other one but a bit harsh.
The ability to press 'play' during playback to repeat the last 3 seconds is a brilliant feature. The machine is easy to use but the manual is not very clear.
I would highly recommend this to any similar business - it has solved 90% of the problems and taken the stress out of getting the orders off the answer machine.

I bought the Tiptel Retell 332 about a month ago after the death of our 20 year old machine. So far I have been very pleased with the quality of message I get from the Tiptel. I do like the idea that I will not loose any messages in the event of a power failure, unlike the old machine which always seemed to have low batteries during a power failure. All I require is a simple machine that gives quality messages and the Tiptel certainly has not disappointed. One problem I did have was setting the machine up as it will do so much and my knowledge of all new electrical devicesbeing limited, I found the operating manual a wee bit daunting. But now that I have had the machine for over a month I am more familiar with the controls, and would certainly buy the same machine again.

Attractive equipment with excellent features, including good memory capacity. However the controls are not intuitive, so reference to the manual is necessary several times. The manual would appear to have been translated from German.
One minor point is that the full memory capacity can only be obtained by recording at low quality, which is nevertheless acceptable.
