Tippitoes lightweight steel constructed Extra Narrow Swing Shut gate comes with cool grey plastic fittings to give what is a utilitarian product a touch of style. The gate locks at both top and bottom and has a twin buttom mechanism. The gate is suitable for use with children up to the ages of 24 monts. Extension kits for the gate are available as seperate item. Will fit openings between 61 - 67.5 cms. Safety in the home is paramount and the Tippitoes Self Close Safety gate has recently been awarded a Practical Parenting best buy award.

We got this gate as our kitchen door is narrow and the only other gates we could find were screw in ones. We rent and although we had permission I really didn't fancy filling in holes and painting before we move out.
Our door is at the top end of width for this gate but it still fits. The mechanism is a bit simple but annoying compared to our slam shut Lindam ones which my 5 year old still can't open. But it does the job and stops my one year old from getting in dangerous places in the kitchen. A good gate. Does what it says on the tin. :)

Easy to fit. Narrow to fit the doorway, but the gate is still wide enough for normal use i.e. you don't need to turn sideways to get through! To open the gate, you need to press buttons either side and lift to disengage from mechanism - this is easy to do one handed.

Gate was great apart from my Son soon working out how the gate opened himself!! luckily I think it was a one off but only time will tell. The product itself was very well put together. High quality item.
