Review

"Simon Rosser's scientific and psychological thriller "Tipping Point" is one of the best I have read in the past decade. He has a gift for fluent narrative, realistic characterisation and for creating settings that come vividly to life for the reader. He blends tension and suspense very successfully against the contemporary background of global warming and its sinister implications.
--Author, TV presenter and Priest Lionel Fanthorpe -

Product Description

Ecological disaster looms in the Arctic. An eminent climatologist drops dead in his London apartment. Appointed executor and lawyer, Robert Spire is about to have his life turned upside down... Having relocated from London to Wales to run his own law firm, Spire is contacted by Doris Stanton, mother of the late UK climatologist Dr. Dale Stanton, with a request that he finds a suitable home for her dead son's legacy - a large sum left to global warming organisations. Spire sets out to investigate, but soon realises his life is in danger as he uncovers a conspiracy with far reaching global implications... A second climatologist drops dead in California, during a climate change conference, and Spire's involvement deepens; his investigations taking him to San Francisco, Paris and finally the Arctic, where he joins a US/French expedition to seed the Arctic Ocean with an experimental substance. The aim -to slow global warming in the region. Spire soon discovers that someone wants the climatologists silenced at all costs as he becomes entangled in an international conspiracy set to push the Arctic to its tipping point and the Earth to disaster.

Really enjoyed this fast paced book and the characters were very believable. The content was very interesting and I did wonder if it was all fantasy or whether there was any fact to it!

This was a good read with a current theme and plausible story. The book could have been even better if it had been edited professionally to eliminate timeline errors and proof read for spelling and missing words.

This appears to be the author's first novel, and it certainly doesn't disappoint. A slow-burn adventure thriller which follows protagonist Robert Spire as he is lumbered with finding a suitable home for a legacy left by a recently deceased UK climatologist working on a project dealing with the Atlantic's Thermohaline Circulation. As he investigates for his client, the dead scientist's distraught mother, the adventure and action heats up as Spire travels to San Francisco, Paris and the Arctic in search of answers... Looking forward to the next Spire novel!

Well it started promising, but like the other reviewer who said there were many spelling errors and mistakes in this book, I would like to say a few other comments. Read more
