Format: Paperback
This new comic collection is aimed at children (and adults who are young at heart) - so the Titans are utterly adorable, the language is clean and it's the kind of comic you would read with your children without worrying about inappropriate language or scenes.

These comics use all Teen Titans past and present, including Robin (Dick Grayson) who gets up to mischief in the Batcave, Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) who's father wants her home when she sees the Bat Signal, Raven - an absolute cutie in her blue bow, Cyborg - who can double up as Donna's easy bake oven, Donna and Cassie - the Wonder Girls, Beast Boy - who has a crush on Terra, Speedy - who can't run fast, and Kid Flash who can, Aqualad and his pet Fluffy! And so many more!

The next generation is also presented as the Titan Babies - Miss Martian, Kid Devil, Jericho, and Wildebeast - serious awwww factor.

Even the Fearsome Five (Mammoth, Gizmo, Brainiac - opps - Psimon, Shimmer and Plasmus) make their appearance - challenging the Titans for the swings.

Look out for guest appearance by the super-heroes like Batman, picking up Robin in the Bat-Mobile, or Green Arrow, or Aquaman...and what about the super-villains? Well they're teaching at Side Kick Elementary school, much to the horror of Rose, Slade is the new principle, Raven is mortified to find her father Trigon (who cooks her breakfast and calls her Pumpkin - until she asks him not to because it's "too cute" - so he changes it to Dumpling!) is there as the substitute teacher.

So although this book is aimed towards children I found myself laughing and awwwing my way though the short comic stories, including Robins brief change to Nightwing and his sweet crush on... well I can't tell you everything - you'll have to read it to find out! Me? I'm going to buy Volume 2!

A very good book for the early reader. It's enjoyable to read, so reading isn't a chore but a pleasure. My grandson, age 7 loves it. I recommend it.

Awww Yeah Titans!! 24 Mar 2009
By David Scheidt - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Tiny Titans is a perfect read for all ages. It's goofy and awesome and chock full of dc characters, only a little different then you might remember them!

The Art and Writing Team of Art Balthazar and Franco are a match made in geek heaven, as they've been working together for years already with Patrick The Wolf-Boy, Gorilla Gorilla (featured in Disney Adventures)and many others.

This book is perfect to get for kids of all ages, and heck, I'm 21 years old and it still makes me smile and chuckle. I cannot recommend this enough! Buy 10 copies! hand them out to friends!

AWWWW YEAH TITANS!!

A kid-friendly comic 15 Mar 2010

This was purchased for my six year old son who really likes super hero comic books. My 12 year old daughter loved it, she thought it was very funny. My son liked it a lot too. I liked that the the super heroes are kids. I've been searching for a while for a comic that was apropriate for a child. I had ordered a subscription to Marvel Adventures, which was advertised to be for ages was 6 to 12, but I hated the trashy way women were potrayed in the drawings. I was very happy to find these books. Gee, comics appropriate for children....what a novel idea. :)

Comic book training 8 Jan 2014

I bought this comic as a birthday present for my 10-year old nephew so I'm well aware I'm not the intended target audience. Nonetheless, I thought the artwork was cute so I took a crack at reading it before I wrapped it up.

The premises is about the sidekicks of DC superheroes as little children. I'm not very familiar with DC's lineup so there are a lot of jokes I probably missed not knowing a lot about the characters. And some of the jokes are, well...not that sophisticated. Still, it's target audience is probably preteens and younger and I think my preteen nephews have pretty basic humor so I imagine its target audience would probably find the jokes hilarious. The comic comprises of little stories, most of which don't really link up to each other. But I imagine that's fine since I doubt little kids are ready for major story-arcs. Each story is only about 2-4 pages long so I imagine it's great for kids with no attention span.

The artwork, again, is very cute and it's a nice introduction to comic book for young children. The pages are flimsier than most comic books intended for adults. But the colors are vibrant and the binding looks nice. I'll have to check with my nephew to see what he thinks of it the next time I see him.

Perfect for all Ages 12 Oct 2010
By S. Baker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This series has done more to excite my children about reading than any other book. Adults will enjoy the character development, clever spin on DC heroes, and subtle moral lessons. Children quickly relate to the characters and their daily situations with friends at school, the playground, and the tree-house (every boy loves the idea of tree-houses). Children will also love the overall silliness of their mis-adventures. My children range from toddlers to 5 years and I imagine older children will enjoy it just as much.

Kids love it! 7 Mar 2014

My 6 year old girl loves it. It was a great way to open the door to reading more. I think she might have thought reading was just some boring thing she had to do for school, but she brings this comic book in the car and in and around the house. She's now just reading stuff we have at the house (the "readers") for fun. We tried other comic books, but the humor was too adult. Now, I've got to read up on super heroes (not a bad thing). I'm getting asked questions like, "Who is Beast Boy's mommy?" LOL. Too fun.
