This is a great Baby Gym with lots of features which are not necessarily found in other gyms in its price range.

Toys are Engaging:
Absolutely. It has 5 hanging toys, a triangle which plays three different recognisable tunes, a horse, a flower teether, a porcupine and a lamb. Each is colourful and of varying textures. One feature which really shows Tiny Love's attention to detail is that on each of the hanging toys there is a little embroidered design, for example, the horse has an green embroidered clover on its chest so that when baby lays beneath (s)he has something interesting to see and touch. I got this as a gift when my son was born 10 months ago and still to this day he is still engaged by the colours and creatures and lays beneath it to have 'quiet play' before bed.

Mirror is Durable:
Yes, the Mirror really came to be a favourite once my little boy could roll onto his tummy and look at himself in the mirror-- its soft, colourful, flexible, scratch resistant and non-breakable surface makes this mirror an ideal way for baby to explore his own reflection safely. We even took this mirror with us in the car as the velcro bits stuck to the backseat of the car letting him watch himself in the car too!

Arches are Safe:
Thankfully, yes. The two criss-crossed arches are safe for when baby begins to pull up. One might expect that all play mat arches would be safe, but that is not always the case--take nothing for granted is what I have learned about baby toys. The most that happens with this play mat is the snap comes undone and the arches collapse; but they DO NOT BREAK. So you need not worry that your baby will pull up on the arches, one will snap and causing bodily injury landing you in the A & E.

I bought this for my little boy who is nearly 4 months old. Immediately I was really pleased with the quality of this item, its really colourful and the hanging toys have a lot to capture little ones attention. I've washed the mat in the machine on a cold wash with no problems too which is very useful. At the moment, my baby particularly likes the mirror when he's on his tummy and there is a nice flower teether toy for chewing. The other great thing is that this is a really portable gym, it folds and unfolds really easily so he's been able to play with it when we are visiting other people. Its been a good purchase for us.

I looked at loads of gyms before buying this for my 3-month-old baby, and this is the best one by far, even compared to some twice the price in Mothercare.
Excellent quality, seems pretty robust so far (I've washed the mat several times) and it holds my baby's attention longer than any other activity. The toys all detach which means they can be moved around and also used separately when we're out, and it's easy to add other items by hanging them from the rings (we're currently using a silver metal mug that has a shiny reflective surface). You could buy extra rings for this purpose. There's also a tab on the side where you can attach a toy for use during tummy time.
The porcupine is quite stiff to pull down but I guess as my baby gets bigger she'll be strong enough to do it herself.
All in all, fantastic value for money and one of my best baby purchases.

This play gym has been one of our best baby purchases. It has kept our son entertained for up to half an hour at a time, before he started rolling and moving round our lounge. It is very well-made and durable with quality toys that are fun to play with on their own, as well as attached to the arches. Finally, the provided "test" battery, seemed to last longer than the replacement one we put in! Highly recommended.

Excellent for little infants! 21 April 2007
By Amazon Customer - Published on
This activity mat was expensive (I bought it full price at almost $60) but there is a lot of usage in it. I started using it with my baby when she was 2 months old, she enjoyed seeing the colorful toys above her. As she grew, she loved being on her tummy with the colorful mat, especially the crinkling leaf. The attached toys were excellent themselves and I used them to clip onto her carseat and crib. Only when she could finally get up and crawl did she tire of the mat.

My only criticism is of the "musical" toy that dangles. It does have a switch on/off which is great. However, the volume of the music is LOUD! Many a dark night I tried to tiptoe past it and had a heart attack when I accidentally tapped the toy & the music blasted. ALso, the sun-mirror comes off easily and is hard to prop up.

Again, this is well worth it and a well designed toy for any infant.

A basic play gym 18 Aug. 2007
By T. Govia - Published on
I looked at several different gyms got really confused but finally decided on this one because it did not make sense to spend more as my son is almost 5mths old. It does not have all the bells and whistles like the more expensive ones and comes with 5 hanging toys - a flower ring, sheep, some kind of vibrating bug, a horse ( which looks a bit crazy with the eyes they put on it - it was the first thing my son pulled off and chewed on) and the so called melody maker. This hanging mobile is very sensitive and would play music at the lightest touch (thank god for the off switch). I would not exactly call this a musical toy because it plays only 3 or 4 songs less than 10 secs each.

But on the up side is it really (really) colourful and captivating and most importantly my son enjoys it.

Really Like It! 21 Jan. 2008
By B. Owens - Published on
I bought this a few months ago. At first, my baby didnt know what to think about it because of all of the toys. The second day, she loved it! There are so many things for her to explore both on her back and on her tummy. The music piece is loud as the other reviews suggest, but I put masking tape over the holes of the music box and it made the sound just right! I would definitely recommend this playmat.
Months of fun! 8 May 2010

We actually bought this at BuyBuy Baby because we needed it 'now' for 3-month old who was finally 'awake' enough to need some entertainment. Thought I'd share our review here as well.

And the version we have of the 'melody maker' has different toys/mat but it is the Gymini Tiny Love Melody Maker - older version and was only $25?

Purchased for 3 month old
Continue to use with 8 month old

1. The toys are big.
This is such a great thing because when the baby is little they can actually reach the toys - with feet and hands. We detach the toys all the time and take them with us and use them loosely at home.

2. The mirror is big and removable
As a little baby he would just stare into the mirror. Now we have the mirror detached and on the floor for him to crawl for and look down into.

3. Music + Lights
I never used the music and lights until recently. Now it's entertaining for him as he crawls or rolls onto it. Now that he is on his tummy more he likes the lights

4. Two mats
Nice idea. We did switch it from the side that was younger to the older side with the tactical things to grab. He likes that and reaches/grabs.

5. Arches
Baby has sat up next to mat and grabbed arches to shake and watch toys sway - fun to watch that.
so CUTE so FUN for my baby! 20 Aug. 2009

My baby just loves loves loves this play gym. The item shown in the photo does not do it justice as it is made well, colorful, cute, full of functional fun activities and much more affordable than the more 'popular' brands. It won a best toy award and I can totally see why.
My daughter was 2 and half months when I got her this and she became so excited and start kicking the mobiles and was delighted at the music. I love the crinkly leaf that always gets her attention, and these mobiles are easily detachable so you can move them around and hang them in different places to adjust to your baby. My baby has reached many landmarks on this playgym. She learned to reach out and grab a mobile, improved her head control during tummy time, and has such a blast that I can actually walk away to grab myself lunch. I often get under there with her too.

There is a musical mobile that many reviewers complained was too loud but it's not so bad and there's always the duct-tape option if you find it loud and annoying. You can also easily detach the mat (snap buttons on the four corners) so you can wash it, and easily fold it up to take it somewhere or store it away. I truly recommend this product for your little ones. It is worth every penny!
