I just bought this for my five month old daughter having tried both the Vtech Baby Bear Sweet dreams unit and also the Winnie the Pooh Lullaby Dream show and I have found this one the best. The music is lovely and soothing with genuine instrument sound to it, rather than the computerised plinky plonk of some. The light from the unit is a nice soft glow and the animals move gently to provide interest but not too stimulating. Also the volume setting is just right so that the low volume is genuinely low. She went to sleep more easily than ever before.

Love it, but picture makes it look like there is a light shining up, and it doesnt have this! It is soothing, but just disappointed as wanted light show on the ceiling.

This is without a doubt the best thing we've bought for our four-month-old daughter. She's had it since she was born and has always been intrigued by it. It calms her down if she ever gets ratty. There is so much going on - the lion and giraffe's heads move, fish jump on the river and the sun or stars shine. She watches the light show in the day and listens to the music to go off to sleep. Now she is a little older, she can press the buttons on the front and turn on the music/change the light show. It remains her favourite thing to this day and is now firmly fixed to her cot. Money well spent!

I purchased this product when my baby was around 9 weeks old and i was struggling to get her to lie peacefully in her cot without crying, let alone settling herself to sleep. I can honestly say that coinciding with her ability to suck her thumb this soother has worked wonders! We now put the music on for every nap and at bedtime and the music is both comforting and familiar to my baby, such that she will put her thumb in and drift off to sleep. This product has therefore assisted in reducing the previous hours that were spent rocking our baby to sleep and meant we were able to get her out of our bed and into the cot. The music is repetitive but pleasant and the scene is sufficiently interesting to hold baby's attention. I am giving this soother four rather than five stars due to three small criticisms as follows; firstly the volume could do with being slightly lower (we have to cover it with a towel or t-shirt which partly obscures the picture) and secondly, it would be good to have a continuous setting rather than it automatically turning off after 15-20mins. That said, the music stays playing for a decent length of time which is necessary for hard to settle babies! The third issue is that i found it slightly tricky to attach to the cot, though my partner managed without too much trouble. We have been using this for around a month & the batteries are holding out, so no complaints there yet. All in all an effective baby soother that i would recommend to anyone who has a har to settle baby.

Had this little over a week and had changed batteries twice, then it refused to turn off so was faulty, but due to battery life returned it for a refund. We didn't use it much just to keep my daughter occupied when she woke up early (this was replacement for her previous cot toy which broke)and it did hold her attention. Animals and lights are nice and went on for 20 mins, but shame it used up so much battery (and then broke)
