I have worn this watch for about 6 months. It has kept track of time well, performs its functions well, and has been with me through plenty of swims and showers. I have not had to change the batteries yet either. My only small complaint is that the light button is on the top right...but would have been easier to use if it was bottom/middle...which is actually not a button at all on this model...and is just some hard plastic...but was a button on some past models I have owned. Good watch. Great value. Hard to beat.

The watch was a birthday present knowing I was about to run my first Marathon. I'm very pleased with the watch and it was particularly useful during the Marathon. The 27 lap timer enables you to monitor and record split times during and after the race. Very handy for pace setting. Not much use if your not a runner though. Other features are also good, the timer function surprisingly useful and the light is particularly good and extremely clear. I agree the strap does feel a bit weak but with care it should be OK for a number of years. The watch is stylish and not very bulky, unlike some sports watche and can therefore be worn all the time if you wish. I personally wear it just at weekends and for sports (running mainly). I'm very pleased with the watch and think it is good value and would recommend to others, particularly you runners out there.

Excellent watch - stopwatch for running (including >1 hour), I use it lots for marathon training, waterproof for wearing anywhere. Love the timer for cooking, without messing with latest running times. BUT... the strap cracks and eventually snaps, way too quickly for my liking (less than 2 years). I wonder if the velcro version lasts longer?

Timex Marathon Watch - good buy
Does what it needs to do - the lap feature is very useful for races if you want to track each mile/km. Very light and smart. Would recommend it to anybody.

design flaw?
The reset button doesn't work very easily or not at all. I've returned it twice now as I thought the first one was just bad luck. Seems more a design flaw!
