Nice watch, easy to read. 22 July 2010

I'm one my 3rd one of these, but not because they failed due to any design/manufacturing issues but where subjected to accidents. The first one lasted over a year and was crushed when I took it off and it was hit by a heavy falling object in a garage. I bought the second one to replace it, wore it for multiple years and even used the band from the first one after I got caught out in a heavy rain and the leather band got soaked but stayed together. I only replaced it to make it look new again. Also, there was not a hint of moisture in the watch. Then, this spring during another weird accident I fell, catching the watch on a door striker plate. A day later the stem fell off. It's still running and keeping time but I can't change the date on 30-day months to skip "31", so I just wore it another 3+ months with the wrong date. The day-of-the-week is still correct. This is my third one and I wear it a little less often... only because it's hard to find, so I keep it for nicer times only. (Everyday is now a plastic Timex Expedition that I used to wear just for wet/sweaty activity.) The first two of the T2M488 Classic I wore nearly every day and night. It has a ten year battery so I'm curious how #2 will keep time. I don't ever remember changing the time, just the date on short months. I hope #3 is as good. I really like the classic retro look. Timeless good looks. :-)

The watch was larger and heavier than I thought it would be. I also had difficulty setting the day and date. I called the luxurywatchstore[...]. "You take it out of the box, it is yours. We won't take it back unless there is something wrong with it." I won't shop with them over the Internet again.
Great, my favorite watch. 20 Jan 2009

Wearing it right now and this is my second one after the first one got crushed in a freak accident. (luckily I wasn't wearing it at the time!) I liked it so much in the short time I had the old one, I went out to buy a new one and couldn't find it in stores. So I bought it here.

This is a man's watch and fits great on larger men. I'm 6'2" and approx. 250 lbs so the watch fits just fine, keeps good time and is easy to read especially with my nearly 50 year-old eyes. The glass is slightly curved and I think produces a slight magnification of the dial. Very classic and classy.

Watch was way too large, band was way too long. I returned it.
