Product Description

“Oh for crying out loud!” Naomi yelled. “You’ve no idea what this could do to the world! You, us, everybody would be affected. There would be no privacy, no secrets, nothing. Jon, for pity’s sake just forget this and go."

To Professor Avery, and his granddaughter Naomi, the Timescope was a tool to examine first-hand Biblical events.

To Jon Heath, the Timescope was a ticket to a brighter future.

To Terrence Prentice and his deadly ally, the Timescope offered power beyond their wildest imaginations.

But they were all about to discover what the Timescope wanted...

This is one of those simple ideas that grows and grows until by the end of the book it has turned into a huge idea that really satisfies.

Although aimed at teenagers I enjoyed it and I've not been a teenager for years. It proves to be a great pacy read that offers some interesting 'historical' insight.

Without giving too much away try to imagine that all the light and sound waves from the images of every second of the past has actually been captured and trapped on the surface of our planet. All that is needed is a way to release it. Then imagine what it would be like if someone discovers how to release it and could view every incident that ever occured.

What you end up with is access to visual evidence of every deed. Something any Government would do everything to get its hand on. No crime would remain unsolved, no motive hidden, ultimate control, possible Utopia.

But those who discover how to release it want the knowledge for a very different reason. But there is noway that their innocent use of this awesome power is going to stay unnoticed. That in itself makes for a great story but then the book twists and you realise there is an even more terrible foe at work one that can change the world forever.

I loved reading this book. Its different and it works on many levels. I loved what the Professor wanted to use the Timescope for but that will always be a subjective part of the book.

I can see this quickly getting a large following. I hope it does. I certainly recommend it to anyone who loves a fast paced drama with some new ideas and a great twist at the end.

I have spent two snowy days reading this novel! I could not put it down! It is a really good read: the suspense about the professor's health and the drama of the events witnessed in ancient Israel and Egypt were quite gripping (even when you think you know what will happen next!) Joe paints a vivid picture - sometimes horrifying, but always illuminating, of the way things were for the people of those days.

Modern technology rubs shoulders with antiquity in a fascinating blend of fiction and facts. I hope nobody ever harnesses/lets loose the computing power of the world as described by the author - it sounds decidedly apocalyptic!!

The gentle love story which develops will also add to the attraction for the romantics amongst us - me included! I just feel sorry that I have finished it. It pleases on many levels. My question is: "When is the next one coming out??"

I thoroughly enjoyed it and promised a young friend that I will lend him my copy when I have read it! I have yet to decide when to part with it - I might just read it again first. This novel really will appeal to "kids" of all ages!

This is a fast paced thriller of a story. I love the idea of the timescope but it also terrifies me. Imagine someone being able to witness everything that you've ever done!
The story is full of twists and turns, a real page turner.I loved it and thought it an excellent read.
