STV097 is a product which can be used to repel slugs and snails. To use this product: Apply Slug & Snail Barrier at planting, before any leaf damage is evident, to deliver mximum protection. Clean and dry the surface of the pot or planter before applying the copper tape. Peel off the protective paper to expose the adhesive backing. Stick Slug & Snail Barrier in a complete circle around the pot or planter. Trim back any overhanging branches or leaves that could enable slugs and snails to gain access to the protected zone. Wipe clean the surface of the copper tape from time to time to help ensure it continues to discharge electric

Bought this item a few weeks ago and got to work wrapping a raised veg planter with it. I put two layers of tape, one above the other with no gap in between as I've read on the web that the little slimy bu**ers can actually arch their bodies over a thin strip of copper. Hopefully now the amount of arching required will be too big even for the biggest slugs. Must say that so far the tape is doing the trick, no attacks from slugs or snails and I've got hundreds of the them in my garden.
The tape is super sticky so grips really well and is a doddle to put on. It even seems to repel ants, which are another headache for me. Only thing I would suggest really would be wider tape so that no doubling up would be required, but I guess it's easy enough to do yourself.
Very happy with it, would definitely buy more if needed. It clean, green and no nasty horrible chemicals around my veg :)

Needed this tape as have too many slugs and snails creeping on to the flowers
and small trees I am bringing along. Works a treat and does not do any harm
to the wee pests. Next door's garden gets the brunt so you may have another

This is the stuff!!! And luckily it's waterproof too! so if it was to rain in the summer.....(as if!!) you know the salad will still grow and will only get eaten by who's meant to! It seams such an easy way of getting rid of garden slug pests....once you have some in your garden shed...you'll become an advert of them and make sure you never run out of it!!

Don't leave out in the rain.

Was disappointed with this product. The slugs and snails still managed to get into some of the pots, the instructions for use were followed. Would not recommend.
