Playable on any DVD player, together with PC, Mac, X-Box, PS3 and Wii, this multi platform product has been designed to be enjoyed and shared by the entire family. Each DVD consists of four fun sections, during which we gain your child s attention, teach them a particular table, test their knowledge of what they have learned and finally rewards their efforts. But because all this happens as part of Billy s adventure to save Planet Calculus, your child will be eager to continue the journey with Billy, as he meets new friends and learns each table, before finally confronting Zeta in the times table battle. Billy's quest to learn his Times Tables takes him deep into the Infinite Forest. With the help of Crowley he soon learns his 5 times table, which is just aswell as the Revishrooms won't let him pass until he can answer questions on all the tables he has learned. Review

I used it with my class on Monday and they had a great time singing the songs and using the disc interactively on the whiteboard. They thoroughly enjoyed this......I would recommend this title for any class which needs to learn their times tables......Equally it would be perfect for home use ......A terrific resource. --Karl Perkins, Teacher

I have tried it out at home on my 6 year old daughter. She liked it very much and had fun completing the tasks more than once. I have also given it to the year two teacher in school......It seems to motivate and capture the children well. --Maren Kelly, Teacher

We played the DVD through a Playstation onto a big screen TV and the graphics looked excellent. The story kept his attention and gave an interesting setting to the story. The song was catchy and engaging and he happily sang along with it without any prompting from me.......At first he found it quite easy to keep up but as the song got faster it became more challenging which was good.......The first test he was fairly confident with.......the second test was much harder but I liked the way you required him to use corresponding division facts rather than just sticking to the traditional times tables, this will make the DVD appropriate to older children and those working at a higher level. The whole product was appealing and engaging, they really enjoyed playing it and are asking for the next one! --Sarah Ellis, Teacher

A while ago I wrote a post about the importance of tables, and why children had to know them. I truly believe that they are a foundation for many of the next stages of maths. And everyone I spoke to agreed……Steve Tranter and John Sanderson have latched onto the importance of tables - and the reluctance of children to engage with them…... The result was Times Table Adventure, which is now my son's favourite set of DVDs! The strap line - "learning your times tables isn't the end of the world..Or is it?" - is absolutely brilliant, and the set of DVDs tells the story of a boy who can save humanity (and defeat the evil number cruncher, Zeta), but only if he learns how to multiply properly……..It's certainly a clever idea, with the times tables woven into the story. It's very interactive too, with a quiz for each table, before you move on. I'm an old-fashioned sort of person, and not always convinced that screen-based ideas are the answer to everything……… But I am impressed by Times Table Adventure, not least because every child I have shown the DVDs to has wanted to watch on. And that's not something you hear of very often when it comes to maths..... The DVDs are now on sale and I think they will appeal……. They're loud, fun and a little teeny bit scary. But they're not at all boring. And all this makes them something I'm very happy to recommend. --Sarah Ebner, Schoolgate Editor, The Times

My son loved these sets of videos and they really got him interested in learning his times tables so he could get to the next chapter. The stories follow Billy as he fights to save the universe by solving maths problems! Great for my 6 year old and my 4 year old got in the act too.
The only qualm would be that the order in which they progress is not order in which children generally learn their tables but as they are easy to revisit and are fun it has encouraged my son even with the initially more tricky ones

My daughter has enjoyed these dvd's and they have given her more confidence with her times tables. Although I felt that the animation could have been better.
