I bought this CD hoping that it would help with my revision plan for A Level.

Pure Maths is arguably the hardest out of the three maths subjects, however, it does not teach all of the required maths.

It provides a narration for each page, but the number of pages to review each subject is poor. This is a CD only for people looking to test themselves - and not revise from.

For each subject, there is a question test, and a real exam question. This sounds good, but the number of exam questions is very small.

On the plus side, it works to all exam boards, and it has comprehensive information to help you revise. However, I personally don't think that there are enough questions to really test you. It does however explain the answers, indicating why you went wrong.

Don't take this to be a bad review, however, I would only recommend this software to those who are looking for more questions to answer.

I recommend this CD to all physics students who find they absorb information much more readily when it is spoken rather than read straight from a text book. The voice is very clear and does not have any annoying accent or fake enthusiasm like some other educational CD-roms. All topics are covered for all syllabus and a listing is included to identify which topics are AS-Level and which are A-Level. The diagrams are very easy to understand and the animations and graphics are amazing and very useful when trying to visualise things. There are questions which test your understanding of the topics and it keeps a record of your progress as you go along. A very well thought out and put together CD, a must have for all keen physics students.

I'm doing a degree in Psychology with the Open University and the course assumes either that you already know lots of stats or that you can pick it up while learning to use a computer Stats package.

This CD Rom fills in a lot of the basics which are assumed in more advanced texts. It's not just suitable for A Level students, but can be used by anyone who wants to go beyond the mean, mode and median without being overloaded with all the maths that a rigorous stats course entails.
