I have to agree with the previous reviewer, the storyline sounded good on the back of the book, but it really dragged and the characters were difficult to like. I read it on a long train journey which is the only reason I finsihed it and the ending was one of the most overdramatic and unrealistic I've come across in a long time. Such a shame

The Timer Game 24 May 2008

I thought this book was extremely tedious to read. It seemed to drag in most parts, the story line was predictable and the shocks were definately not shocking. It's also completely unbelievable. I read parts thinking... this must be a joke... a dream... only to find that about 10 tedious pages later that it was in fact happening.

There were so many sub plots hanging around that seemed completely un neccesary and just muddied up the plot and made it even harder to follow.

The characters seemed to be pretty undeveloped and 1 dimensional and pretty hard to care for. And I found that I really didnt care what happened with the characters by the end of the book.

I would not recommend this book at all, and the only reason I bothered to wade through the rubbish is because I really hate not finishing a book and after over a week of reading I finally finished it.
