This review is from: Time (1981) [VINYL] (Vinyl)
'Out Of The Blue' was good, as was 'A New World Record' but this is ELO's Masterpiece. Containing their finest 4 and a half minutes on "The Way Life's Meant To Be",this album is absolutely superb. Only ELO would attempt a concept album in the 1980's and now 25 years on it's like a time capsule taking the listener back to that era, even though it's set in the future. Kicking off with 'Twilight'(after the customary intro) this never lets up. No fillers at all, the whole record barrels along with brilliant track after brilliant track. 'Yours Truly 2095','Ticket to The Moon',the aforementioned stunning 'The Way Lifes Meant To Be'(Honestly, I can't praise this song high enough), the list goes on. Nobody should have this classic missing from their record collection. Jeff Lynne is a genius for coming up with this, one of the finest albums ever made. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.
