I needed a high-vis jacket that was windproof and water resistant and this ticks all boxes. In my area lighting is very poor and there's a stretch of road that I cover that doesn't have any pavement, hence I needed a really good jacket that the drivers could see. Let me tell you they will very likely see you in space with this jacket, to say it is bright is an understatement!
I took it for a test run in the rain and it performed brilliantly, same for the wind. I don't think you will but I wouldn't buy this jacket for overall warmth, it's not part of it's design (i.e. as opposed to thermal tops etc).
It is lightweight, windproof, waterproof and any driver that doesn't see you shouldn't hold a license.
One teeny tiny gripe. As with a lot of women's running clothing the female form isn't always taken into account. I'm a size 12/14 and I have hips, it would be nice to have a jacket that skims my hips instead of zipping up and then I can't pull the hem over my bottom. This, in my opinion, is cut to suit a more male physique than female (designers please take note).
However, the fact that the jacket stops steadfast at my hips is outweighed by it's other properties and I think it is a very good jacket for a reasonable price.
I took the advice of the other reviews and bought the next size up (for me I got a 16) as I wear quite a few base layers for winter training. This was good advice and I thank the other women for that. The 16 is a little baggy around the waist but I think a 14 might have been snug.
All in all over the moon!
