Book Description

Shortlisted for the 2014 Wishing Shelf Award.

A top 500 Amazon reviewer, wrote of 'The Time Smugglers' - 'A rip-roaring fantastic yarn!'

Arthur Penhaligon is a skateboarder (usually). He also happens to be a Guardian, knighted by Excalibur.
It’s a year since Arthur and his friends, Tamar, Nick and Gawain, met a shape-shifting cat and defeated the sinister Crow Man. But now, far below the Cornish hills the deep magic is stirring again, summoning Arthur’s rivals to the contest for Cornwall’s crown.
It’s time to get to grips with the challenges of time-travel (have you ever tried it?), and with ancient knights who really shouldn’t be around.
On a Cornish path a tiny, green-stone dragon stretches a claw.
In a churchyard a carved angel tests his wings, and out at sea an emerald-encrusted pocket watch chimes once… and slips through time.
One thing’s for certain….
Life is about to get interesting.
Comero weeth – take care.

'The Time Smugglers', is the second of 'The Camelot Inheritance' series;
the first, ‘The Golden Sword’, has received wonderful reviews from fantasy lovers of all ages in both the UK and the US.

More About the Author

For many years I taught some great kids in some great, little schools, I loved it. (One of the schools even had an outdoor toilet, complete with a resident spider.)
Now I'm writing stories and I'm loving that too!

I live with my husband, Pete, in Cornwall.
It's a fabulous county on the toe of the UK. It also happens to be the setting for this series and has legendary links with King Arthur.

Pete and I have grown-up children and mini grandchildren - so now we share our house with two mad, attention-seeking cats.

The illustrated versions of the books will be hitting the shelves soon, both in kindle and paperback format. I post some of the pictures on my facebook page and blog as they come along, pop in and have a look.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bravo! 30 Sept. 2014
Morgan gives the reader a story that is crafted with care. Children read the legends of the Once and Future King, as the generations pass. The traditions live on from one generation to the next, and we are shaped by them. Morgan is a wordsmith. Long ago tales like this might be woven into an an epec like Beowulf, and recited in a mead hall. In the far distant future, will these tales live on, and the same songs be sung? But I degress, Bravo!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another five star book from Rosie Morgan. 7 Dec. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Like her first book, Rosie Morgan’s second book in the Camelot Inheritance series was superb. The Time Smugglers introduces some interesting concepts and dimensions, as well as some new characters, maintaining your interest from start to finish. This book may have been written for the younger market, but it is equally appealing to adults as well. I would thoroughly recommend it: another five star book from Rosie Morgan.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic YA Series! 20 Nov. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I received a copy from the author in return for an honest review.

This is the second book in The Camelot Inheritance Series for middle grade children that takes the myths and legends of Arthur (that's King Arthur to you!) and gives it a modern twist. I loved it!

Arthur Penhaligon is a fantastic character. He is a young man with an amazing destiny - he is a Guardian of Cornwall. I really liked this character when I first met him in The Golden Sword. He has done a bit of growing up over the year, but there is still danger lurking, and Arthur and his friends, Nick, Gawain and Tamar, are in for another adventure.

This is a fantastic adventure series set in Cornwall, England. I have been eagerly waiting for this story, because I wanted to know what the intrepid trio had been up to. This tale is told from several different points of view, which I found most interesting, and kept me hooked from the first page! I was swept back into the lives of Arthur, Nick and Tamar, as well as their new friend Gawain. There are a few other characters that make another appearance. Mainly the Watcher's and the Writer. These are enigmatic characters that bring their own kind of intrigue to the tale. Why are they watching? Why are they recording events? These questions and more floated round my head, but that being said, I found them rather fun too! Their antics (especially the Watchers') made me giggle in places. I suppose time travel can cause it's own issues! There are several twists and turns that surprised me, and I just love Nick's dragon! Where can I get one?
This story is a mix of adventure, myth and magic that will keep younger readers completely hooked!

Rosie Morgan is a debut author who has written an exciting adventure series for children. I am becoming a huge fan!
