Product Description

Blush sensuality level: This is a sensual romance (may have explicit love scenes, but not erotic in frequency or type).Shocked by the brutal murder of her colleague, curator Ingrid runs for her life through the dark exhibit halls of the museum where she works—straight into the arms of Temporal Agent Strom. He’s been sent back in time to stop a twenty-sixth-century criminal who is stealing artifacts from the past.Falling in love with Ingrid wasn’t part of the mission. Strom knows they can have no future together. Five hundred years separate them, but the attraction that flares between the couple is impossible to resist. Their brief, passionate affair has consequences. When Strom returns to his own century, Ingrid must find a way to send him a message across time.

More About the Author

Caroline McCall was raised on a diet of romance novels and science fiction. So it's not surprising that she turned to writing time travel and paranormal romance. She loves history, and some of her stories are inspired by Celtic myths and legends. Caroline lives with her partner and several spoilt ungrateful felines on the windswept east coast of Ireland. She does most of the plotting for her novels while walking on the beach.

Caroline loves to travel, and her background is quite eclectic. She's done everything from working as a roadie for a rock and roll band, to designing knitwear. Caroline welcomes contact from her readers.

Caroline McCall's first book is teeming with rich imaginative characters. Complusive reading, once you pick it up you won't want to put it down again. A hot romance, a thriller and an unusual setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful twist! 8 Dec 2011
By Romancing the Book - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Review by Terri: I read this book in one sitting and recommended it highly. Don't let the tag "sweet" fool you. There is plenty of heat and erotica in this tale of a time-traveling Viking and his lady fair.

A villain from the future is returning to the past and stealing historical artifacts to finance his criminal enterprises. Strom leads a group of super-soldiers into the past to capture their enemy. He must also solve the paradox of Ingrid, the beautiful historian shown in an ancient photograph wearing his ancestral family ring. His future and his past are changed by one phrase, "we think she is your wife."

The character of Ingrid is wonderful. Although lovely and talented, she is not a Mary Sue. The best scene is where she attempts to seduce the savagely handsome and sexy Strom and fails miserably. That leads to a nightclub where the ferocious Strom finds her draped over one of his men, too drunk to stand. His jealousy is epic. Strom's reluctance has nothing to do with rejecting Ingrid. He has fallen in love with her, heart and soul, but knows he must soon return to the future. By trying mightily to spare her heart and his - Strom ends up hurting them both. However, when he finally succumbs, the writer generates a wave of passion without a graphic anatomy lesson. It is erotic and sensual without being overly explicit.

Not going to give any spoilers. Just suffice it to say that the paradox at the heart of all time travel stories plays well here with a delightful twist and reveal and a serene happily-ever-after.

5.0 out of 5 stars I want a sexy time travelling Viking 12 Sep 2011

I loved this story and can't wait for the next in the series.

It combines all my favourite things: a sexy alpha hero, hot sex, lots of emotion and some great world building.

Time Slip is set in mostly in present day Dublin (and all the details are spot-on, not a single fake accent in sight) and partly in the twenty-sixth centuary. Museum curator Ingrid gets to watch her boss being killed by a security expert - who is really a terrorist from the 26th centuary. She is rescued by Strom, one of the sexiest heroes I've met in a long time.

I won't spoil it for you, but this story has a lot of surprises, not least how Ingrid sends a message across time.

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spoil yourself 15 Feb 2012
By Louise Saunders Curran - Published on Amazon.com

Well I think I'm suffering from Repetitive Strain Injury. The "Next Page" button on my Kindle has had a rough ride today (nearly as good as Strom and Ingrid's romp). I've just finished Time Slip. I read it in one sitting - Okay I ignored my kids for a while but I didn't have a choice and before anyone calls child services, I promise they will survive and it was totally worth it.
To me the book drew on everything good about Indiana Jones, Terminator and James Bond and Strom is as dishy as a young Harrison, as tough as Arnie and as cool and edgy as Daniel Craig.
The book wasn't swamped with made-up terminology and far fetched plots that can be off-putting in some science fiction novels. All the futuristic references mentioned never interefered with the progress of the story. I feel spoilt rotten. Thanks Ms McCall. I look forward to your next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars A rollicking read 12 Nov 2011
By Patricia O'reilly - Published on Amazon.com

Never a fan of science fiction or novels set intergalactically, I thoroughly enjoyed Irish author Caroline McCall's debut novel, Time Slip. It is a rollicking read slipping backwards and forwards in time betweem 2011 and 2525. The pace never flags, advances in science read authentically. McCall has created a thoroughly likeable heroine (Ingrid)and hero (Strom)and a love story to warm the cockles of anyones heart.

4.0 out of 5 stars Engaging Read 26 Oct 2011
By LAS Reviewer - Published on Amazon.com

Nothing like a time-traveling superhero of your very own to make life the fun side of interesting! The tried and true plot of heroine in peril being saved by her white knight gets the time-traveling treatment in this short and yummy book by Caroline McCall.

There are no surprises here - heroine is in trouble, hero saves her. Heroine is hard-headed and gets into more trouble. Hero is half in love with her already, so saves her again.

Don't think I've ruined the story for you -- the sweetness and meat of the story are in the details! Ms. McCall wrote characters who were interesting and who drew you right into the story. Although this was by no means a "suspense" novel, it did keep me turning pages.

A word of warning, the violence is a bit graphic, and those with sensitive imaginations might want to skim through those sections. Conversely, while sometimes it is enough just to know there was violence, sometimes you need to hear just how totally awesome your hero is!

I can wholeheartedly recommend this book for just about everyone! From the folks who like time-travel, to the folks who like some action in their romance, to those who need some "steaminess", to those who need a tearjerker. There is something for everyone in this book!
