The best Vancouver guide book around, 14 Jan 2007
This review is from: "Time Out" Vancouver (Paperback)
This guide book is the only one you'll need during your trip to the City of Glass.
As with all the Time Out city guides, it is written by locals who will give their honest opinion about local hotels, restaurants, clubs and museums. Sightseeing is also covered and reviewed, and again the writers tell it as it is. If an attraction is naff or not worth it, they will say so. Not that many places in Vancouver are!
This guide also goes beyond the simple touristy blurb: the "in context" section is informative and gives a really good insight to the city, its inhabitants and their way of life. The book also features very good maps and a section on trips our of town, including Victoria and Whistler.
A great guidebook, and slim enough to be carried around at all times!

Really good for the low-down, 29 Mar 2007
This review is from: "Time Out" Vancouver (Paperback)
Time Out is great for the low-down on the really interesting places. Very trustworthy and balanced recommendations. The only other guide I use is the Rough Guide, which are good all-round guide books, covering travel on a budget as well as if you want to splash out.
