This is fine for a short break, but like most other guides, to be fair, short on detail. All those little things you would like to know, all those things you stumble across and think are absolutely great, just aren't here. Be nice for a more comprehensive guide to smaller areas maybe, but this is much the same as most others and as good as any.

I wouldn't recommend this guidebook for Nice, you should buy the AA CityGuide one, as it is much more detailed and contains practical info as well as a fantastic foldout map. I had both when I was visiting Nice a couple of days ago and ended up using only the AA one so don't waste your money. That being said, this one does have one advantage: it contains 2 pages on Cannes which could be useful if you plan to spend half a day there as well.

This purports to be a book about Nice and Cannes, but should be titled Nice - with a little bit about Cannes. Very unhelpful and disappointing.

good reference book
This guide book is short and handy and I have used it a few times on my travels to the south of france. It fits into your travel bag nicely and everything is easliy referenced.
