Amazon.co.uk Review

Michael Buble's assured debut and the tireless year of globe-trotting touring he spent promoting it elevated the 20-something Vancouver native into the first rank of pop crooner revivalists. His sophomore studio follow-up largely turns on the same formula that helped make his considerable vocal prowess so attractive to mainstream audiences, mixing the nigh flawless, if expected Sinatra-channelling ("I've Got You Under My Skin") with more playful and inviting renditions of pop standards like the Gershwin's "A Foggy Day in London Town," "Feeling Good," "Try A Little Tenderness" and Cole Porter's "I've Got You Under My Skin." But it's the eclectic mix of more contemporary material the singer seasons them with--apt tribute to Buble hero Bobby Darin--that keeps him walking the narrow tightrope between artistic intrigue (a blues-tinged vamp of Holland-Dozier-Holland's "How Sweet It Is," Leon Russell's lovely "Song For You," with a guest turn by Chris Botti) and the kitsch-laden abyss ("Quando, Quando, Quando"'s Euro-centric duet with Nelly Furtado, a ring-a-ding-fling with the Beatles' "Can't Buy Me Love" that echoes fellow Canadian crooner/rival Matt Dusk's more successful flirtation with Lennon-McCartney). Arranger/producer Tommy LiPuma offers Buble a welcome swinging jazz showcase on "The More I See of You," a bracing respite from the rest of producer David Foster's slick, if typically bloodless MOR production. --Jerry McCulley

Album Description

Having established himself as a worldwide sensation with his eponymous debut, Michael Bublé is releasing his second album It's Time.

Featured amongst the many highlights are the first single, the Nina Simone standout "Feeling Good", Michael's self-written hit in the making "Home" and the Nelly Furtado duet "Quando, Quando, Quando (Tell Me When)". If you are reading this review deciding whether to buy this album or not, don't hesitate......it is simply breathtaking!
Michael Buble has proven himself in 2004 to be an outstanding live performer, and a genuine living legend of our time. He deserves every single piece of praise that he is receiving from all 4 corners of the globe, and this album can only increase Buble mania to fever pitch!

The album is a mixture of old and new, sung with that beautiful, powerful, effortless voice that is unmistakenly Michael's. A joy to listen to; it stirs the emotions, it makes your toes tap and your fingers click, it leaves you wanting more, no album collection in 2005 will be complete without it.

Go buy it!

BANG ON AGAIN !! 23 Jan 2005
Format:Audio CD
Mr. Buble does it again! This, his second cd is BANG ON! This is a brilliant effort by a remarkable entertainer and proves he is worthy of the lofty compliments paid him by fans, critics and musicians around the globe.
In particular, the song 'Home' he wrote for this cd is nothing short of an emotional heartbreaker....I listened and I cried, and I had to listen again - it's just absolutely beautiful and touching. It will become a song of our times.

His performance at the Royal Variety this year solidified my opinion of his class, style and talent --- this cd is further proof that he has arrived and will lead the music world for years to come! The range of music is astounding, and will appeal to all ages and tastes, I also really enjoyed the Beatles 'Can't Buy Me Love'.
I say well done!

Better every time 12 Feb 2005
Format:Audio CD
At last some new material from Michael Buble. Once again with this new album he proves just how good a singer he really is. On first listen the Beatles track (Can't Buy Me Love) jars a little, its very hard to cover a classic like this, however the more you listen the better it gets and it has grown and grown on me. The best track without a doubt is the self penned Home, I'm sure that this is very personal to him and this shows with the emotion in his voice. All in all a great follow up to his earlier album, can't wait until he tours the UK again. Live he is even better!!
