5.0 out of 5 stars Rozsa's last hurrah! 29 Sep 2012
Format:Audio CD
This is undoubtedly one of the finest soundtrack recordings from Dr Rozsa. When the film was released in 1979 a re-recorded album was issued by Entr'acte Records (subsequently re-released on CD the Southern Cross label). This was a perfectly acceptable recording but when compared with this new release it just pales in comparison. You can feel the energy and passion of Rozsa's conducting and of the Warner Bros. Orchestra players. The whole thing just bristles with that energy and commitment that only comes from the original sessions and the build-up to the wonderful finale is exhilarating. This was one of Rozsa's last film scores yet it ranks with his finest compositions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Film Score Monthly release! 10 April 2011
By Donaldo - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Film Score Monthly is on a roll and long may they continue! They are producing and releasing so many previously "hard to find," more obscure film soundtracks, (7 Faces of Dr. Lao, Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm, Robinson Crusoe on Mars, to name a few) in their entirety now, very fortunately, for the fans of all these films and accompanying film music, some of the soundtracks being unavailable to the public for decades...which is a crime! If you've seen this film, you know how great it is....and the music is too! If you're a Miklos Rozsa fan, this is a must! This classic music was released before (rerecorded) on another label, but this cd is so much more complete. This is ALL of the "original" music, conducted by Rozsa himself, in Burbank, California, for the movie. And the sound quality and mix is excellent and full....first class! Couldn't get ANY better!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Stupendous 1979 Sci-Fi Score 30 Sep 2011
By Brad R. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Though I will never agree with Miklós Rózsa's 'Time After Time' beating Jerry Goldsmith's score for 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' for the Saturn Award, it is still a beautiful soundtrack for a charming film worth every one of those five stars. Film Score Monthly has also given it premium treatment with 27 tracks and a running time just over 53 minutes. Don't miss this classic from the late great Miklós Rózsa!

1.0 out of 5 stars Time After Time 4 Sep 2011
By Robert J. Quigley - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Since this is the last soundtrack done by Dr. Miklos Rosza before he died, why are there not any excepts before buying here?
