Product Description

Product Description

Now in paperback, Timberframe Interiors shows that a timberframe home need not be confined to any specific decorating style, but can be tailored to work with any individual decorating preference or taste. The unique aesthetic appeal of timberframe construction is found in no other building style. The grace, lightness, and span that timberframe construction imparts creates a grand and spacious feeling, like a canopy of trees over a country lane. While timberframe homes naturally evoke a country or traditional feeling, Timberframe Interiors illustrates that one need not be confined to that decor. Dick Pirozzolo shows how timberframe construction provides a wonderful beginning to create a warm, friendly atmosphere while responding to a unique set of interior design styles and challenges. Chapters include specifics on color, patterns, lighting, flooring materials, window treatments, furniture groupings, and specific room arrangements. Timberframe Interiors shows with full-color photography that when the decor and the construction join together to establish a fully integrated look, the result is breathtaking. Dick Pirozzolo has written numerous articles on timberframe construction for Timber Homes Illustrated and Timber Frame Homes. As a veteran author and communications professional, he consults regularly with clients in the home manufacturing, home fashion, and housewares industries. He lives in Massachusetts. Interior designer and photo stylist Linda Corzine owns and operates Decorating Den Interiors in Louisville, Kentucky. Linda also consults regularly with Northeastern Log Homes on photo styling and interior design trends. She lives in Kentucky.

First Sentence
Your timberframe or post-and-beam home may have begun its journey in a small shop-hewn by workers in bib overalls using nineteenth-century tools-or it may have started in a modern factory with computer-controlled saws and milling machines turning out the sturdy posts and beams. Read the first page

Decorating Incentives 25 Jan 2001
By a - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Timberframe Interiors is a delicious book to be savored by anyone who is in the process of decorating their home, or to be enjoyed by anyone else who simply wants to allow their imagination to soar. Although most of these magnificent homes are expansive, the photos and text provide a rich variety of tips to help anyone add flair to the decoration of even a modest apartment. I can't imagine anyone not being inspired by these homes that approach cathedral-like majesty.

Dressing for the home 25 Jan 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
With this book you can introduce yourself into the world of home decor. I was fascinated with much of the advice and learned so much about defining space, using color, lighting enhancements and selecting furnishings and finishing touches. The book highlights spaces such as dining rooms, living rooms, great rooms and bathrooms, giving detailed advice and tips on how to get the best look for your space. Interiors also taught me to examine my own personality before starting the journey that will turn my new timberframe home into a reflection of me, my family and the way we like to live.
